Yea Walmart needs to invest in a spike pitI was thinking it would be awesome if there was a Darwinian type of reckoning awaiting these people as they flood into Walmart. Like the floor opens into an abyss, that sort of thing.
WowI go out and before they had it on Thanksgiving, sometimes at 3/4 AM. Sometimes not even looking for anything in particular- just if I happen across a good deal on something I wouldn't mind having but wouldn't buy at full price. In general though, I like crowds. I like to be where there is activity and people watch. I like the madness of it for the madness sake. I live in a city of about 300k and it's pretty much a guarantee that I'll see some folks I know so there's a social aspect to it.
As I watch these I think 99% of all the fights are over these Polaroid TVs. It's spectacularI had no idea Polaroid made TVs. People were fighting over THAT??
That not everyone thinks like you? I'm honestly a little wow myself that someone would want to sit on their ### instead.WowI go out and before they had it on Thanksgiving, sometimes at 3/4 AM. Yea, had he stopped at the first question mark, he would have had a valid point. But he overplayed the hand.Who said we are sitting on our asses? Or I could have enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving dinner with family, drank copious amounts of booze, got a good night sleep, fixed a nice breakfast in the morning and gone out on a bike ride with the kids.
I would literally pay $100 to avoid Black Friday
Was in a Wal Mart last night grabbing a loaf of bred and saw a big screen being returned. Admittedly, that was what I was wondering. Was it not working because he dropped it 14 times fighting to get it out of the store? Also would you still want the TV after it's been slammed around in a battle royale for 20 minutes??![]()
It was last Black Friday overseas. They were reduced by £150 from £399 ($600 USD) to £249 ($375 USD), so they saved approximately $225 USD. Sad. You can get a Samsung for about that much and they're much better quality. But I'm sure people shopping on BF aren't interested in a quality purchase.Anyone have the model number and Black Friday price on that Polaroid TV? I want to read all the 1-star reviews and see how much of a discount it really was.

Looks like the store running the sale on Polaroids was Asda. (last year) It looks as though they decided not to do Black Friday again this year . Honestly, if it meant saving a couple hundred dollars and I had to get up at 3 am and spend a few very frustrating hours "shopping".....I would pass on that in a heartbeat. The savings aren't worth it and I really don't see how this would be fun.
You get up at 3AM to join a mob of smelly mouth-breathing poors waiting in line to fight over low-quality electronics.
