Perry Mason / Me-TV (1 Viewer)

I've decided that McCloud sucks. He's a whiny little b---ch. Terrible choice for a leading man/tough-guy Marshal role.

I never got into "McCloud" either. If you took away the fish-out-water shtick, it's just a standard cop show.

I don't know how the licensing rights work with these old programs, but there's a long list of 70's cop/private eye shows that Me-TV is sleeping on.

i was thinking about that earlier tonight for some reason. "Barnaby Jones", "Cannon", and "Switch" all kind of came to mind...

Cannon has been running on Me-Too

A movie billed as a "Perry Mason Mystery", but.....with no Perry Mason. (Raymond Burr passed away just a couple of weeks before filming began).

Paulie Cicero takes the case. I hope he doesn't turn his back on Della.

Watching Banicek now. Not football game episode quality I'm sure but there is a computer that diagnoses illnesses.

Should be a fun ride.

ETA: The computer - wouldn't fit along my living room walls - has been stolen.

Synopsis of the Perry Mason that's just starting: "A Cockney merchant seaman (Raymond Burr in a dual role) becomes involved in a plot to discredit Perry."

(I did not make that up).

I made it 5 minutes before tapping out.
Good stuff. I looked up the airdate--it was one of the last episodes of the final season. The writers were probably running on fumes at that point, and put out any kind of crazy idea.

He did a fine Cockney accent.

On tonight's episode of "Perry Mason": a character drinks and drives/two female characters wear full-length fur coats. And at the courtroom table amidst Perry's briefcase and papers, Della's notepad and pens, is an ashtray filled to the brim with butts.

1957 American television was awesome.

"Quincy" has been added to the lineup. I never really watched this show before.

First impression: that is one god-awful toupee that Klugman is sporting. That's a Morrie's Wigs kind of rug.
