Person of Interest (1 Viewer)

Loved the concept but at some point it became a battle over the two "Super" computers instead of the original premise and I( like many viewers I guess) got tired of the continuing battle.. Should have ended that battle a season ago..

Too bad as the first couple seasons were "Must see TV".. :kicksrock:

Agreed. Started losing interest after Carter was killed.

I've read that they give the show and ending but they end it in a way that could leave the show open for more if it were to be brought back down the line on like Netflix, Hule, Amazon, etc.

can't believe there wasn't a "previously on..." segment. i mean, it's been a year since the last episode.

and still no Shaw

Totally agree. I couldn't remember how season 4 ended. Still love the show, sucks that it's ending.

Really?   The Machine effectively downloaded itself into a box that they could carry around.  The team was cornered at the facility where they achieved the transition, but the episode ended with an extended piece - played over Pink Floyd's "Welcome to the Machine," which TPTB had apparently been waiting for the right moment to use for four seasons - in which Reese and Root aggressively blasted away at the Samaritan goons while shielding Harold, who was carrying the Machine with him.  It was an awesome ending and could have been the series-ender.  In fact, it almost was.

I'm annoyed as hell at how CBS treated the show but so, so glad it came back for a 13-episode wrapup.

I remembered the final scene, but wasn't really sure if there was anything else we needed to know from last year. I agree that a "previously" would have been nice.

First ep was pretty good. Loved this show - hope they finish strong.

Finally started watching and am halfway through season 1. Sure hope it gets better. Mediocre acting, mediocre writing, it's like a cheesy, poor man's version of The Blacklist. It's also funny to me that Nolan is the show's creator and every time I hear "Reese" talk I think of Bale's Batman, minus the energy and emotion. The fact that a show is 5 seasons in and only has 3 pages should have been a warning to me but i'll keep going for now.

I feel like such an idiot.

I honestly had no recollection that Fusco wasn't on the inside about the machine.

The non-stop supply of goons, with ever increasing firepower this last episode was pretty stupid.  And I'll be fine with how they dealt with giving the machine a voice (echoes of Fred/Illyria there) with only a few episodes remaining.  But despite my misgivings about some parts of this episode and this final season in general, I'm really excited to see Harold unhinged.

was advised (by my brother) early on in this series to think of it like a comic book. i find that adds to my enjoyment of the story lines.

I watched most of the series finale and was intrigued. Now i am watching from the beginning. About 6 episode into season 1. Really like it. Emerson is great as the rest of the supporting cast. My problem is with Jim Caviezel. He is a bit of a snore to me. Just think they could have got a better actor then him.

I will keep watching

A snip of my opinion: every time I hear "Reese" talk I think of Bale's Batman, minus the energy and emotion.

Finale was quite depressing... Well, until the end when they gave a sliver of hope some other channel will pick it up and continue..

All be it without John & Root .. Well I suppose they could continue on with Root's voice and cameo appearances when people are hallucinating...

Epic finale.  Liked it a lot, loved the series and am sad its gone.  Loved the machine setting up some other groups and having old POIs come back to help Reese in the presidential episode.  Glad Shah turned out ok.  I know it was ending but got to appreciate a show that will take down main/important characters if needed.  Carter, Reese, Root, Elias

One of the better series finales.

They set it up for spinoffs. The Machine is alive and was apparently franchising the operation in other parts of the country.

Best thing I can say about Shaw as a character is she's pretty.
Shaw is basically Reese as a hot woman. I remember when they introduced her, I was wondering if Caviezel was looking to leave the show and Shahi was going to be his replacement.  I was pissed when she left to have a kid.

Season 4 question and thoughts on Person of Interest through Ep. 5

Why hasn't Samaritan wiped Humanity off the face of the earth? We are obviously flawed and I can't see Humans controlling Samaritan. Finch said he went through 43 versions of the Machine and only 1 didn't try to kill him. And that version of the Machine is crippled.

Martine is a Terminator right?

And I loved the gun battle between Martine and Root in the Hotel Lobby.

So, just finished Season 3. It is obvious that Root has a big ol   on Shaw...Do they get together?

If not, their relationship is similar to Amy and Penny on BBT
I'm still in season 2. First episode that has Shaw in it. I'd like to be the meat in a Root/Shaw sandwich.

Season 4 Ep. 11 If-then-Else

I can see why it is the highest rated episode on IMDB.

All the simulations, all the banter, THE KISS!!
