No, not at all.I have not been exposed to enough evidence (that I consider credible enough) for me to believe in god. My default assumption is one of not knowing, not one of assuming god. Thats my framework.As for how all of this happened, most of it is a mystery to me still. But, just because I can't explain something, does not mean I assume its something god did.As for scientists discrediting evolution and promoting creationism, that may be the opinion of a tiny minority, and nothing more.

Then, for the sake of accuracy, you are more of an agnostic than an atheist. Scientists are coming out in droves as far as accepting "creation" over evolution. The problem is, this won't be broadcast on the main-stream TV-cable because of how engrained all of these godless rubes are with the idea of evolution. No, Twain didn't like what God had to say on many subjects; namely sin. A guy like Twain isn't going to be disturbed by the historical accounts of the Old Testament regarding witchcraft and the like.
