Pettigrem Value (1 Viewer)

With Stafford back what is Pettigrew's value for the rest of the season? Lions seem to be more of a vertical team with Stafford. Does that mean Pettigrew will be blocking more? Does it relegate him to more of red zone targets than between the 20s targets?

Interested in thoughts on his value in a re-draft non-PPR league.

Stafford seemingly always looks to CJ when in trouble....and when not in trouble, pretty much always. So Pettigrew takes a hit in value.

My gut tells me he fades fast. He and Scheffler seemed to spike with Hill in there.

Per game with Stafford - 1.5 receptions, 7 yards

Per game without Stafford - 6.6 receptions, 66 yards

Small sample, but a little scary. I've got him and Moeaki after losing Finley, and I'm riding Moeaki until Pettigrew can show me something with Stafford.

They didn't draft the top TE in 09 draft for Stafford to ignore him. Stafford saw him play very well with Hill.

I imagine there's some "work your way back kid" stuff from Schwartz (or his OC or the QB coach) and they talk. Might even be this week.

I don't think there's anyway he ignores a big reasonably fast target with soft hands.

Also, I read how he and Scheffler were playing in the slot (prob due to them being better than depth WRs) so...it's going to be pretty hard for him to ignore Pettigrew.

I am hoping you are spot on Bri. Pettigrew (I believe) is the second leading receiver in receptions for the Lions this year. He has been a solid outlet and across the middle receiver for Hill (and hopefully for Stafford). If anything, I would assume the coach would continue to use him... and even though his targets were down last week... he did get the other Stafford TD, so I have hope!

How many Quarters have Stafford and Pettigrew play together this year? 5?Look no further than the Cleveland game last year, right before stafford was knocked out with the shoulder. These guys haven't exactly spent much game time together on the field.

tend to lean this way. pettigrew played fantastically with hill too. 70% catch rate on like 9 targets a game.

He had two passes that hit him the hands and he dropped sunday. He had a problem with drops last year playing with Stafford, theres quite a difference in velocity between Stafford and Hill throwing the ball. Hopefully it was just a one game case of the droppsies or timing.

One thing to consider is this week's opponent. With Calvin being blanketed, one would think Brandon would see some additional targets. Time will tell.
