If he gets me 100 yards and 1 TD this weekend all is forgiven.
... Or have to play Baltimore & Pittsburgh the next 3 out of 4 weeks... LOL. Oh wait, he has Baltimore this week, Pittsburgh next week & Baltimore again week 16?I just picked him up. With Smith and ADP having high ankle sprains, I was looking for a RB with a pulse. With my luck this year, he will pull his hamstring during warmups!man, hillis played fine vs the bengals. id be optimistic.
If it makes you feel any better, I was wrong about Hillis not coming back. But for week 13 Hillis' stats will be 15 carries - 44 yards 3 rec - 5 yards 0 tds. There needs to be some crow eaten in this thread from the folks pimping the notion that the Browns were ending Hillis season by putting him on IR. There never was anything to the story and now there are a bunch of Hardesty and Silent G owners whining about cover boy because he is back and starting.
What did Hillis do last year the first game against the Ravens? If it makes you feel any better, I was wrong about Hillis not coming back. i would start all of those guys over hillis, he sucks! What backs would you guy's start Hillis over THIS week?Guy's like..Toby Gerhart, Min RB ?Pierre Thomas, NO RB ?Mark Ingram, NO RB ?Donald Brown, Ind RB ?Marcel Reece, OAK RB ?Trying to gauge where people are ranking Hillis this week..
Ummmm... I would wait and see if Ray Lewis is active. If he is out the only two guys on your list I would start over Hillis are Gerhart and Brown. New Orleans will be in an air battle with the Lions and Reece will not see near as much work in the passing game if either Moore or Ford are back.i would start all of those guys over hillis, he sucks!

So the only example of Peyton Hillis running the football that you want to use is his first week back from a bad hammy? Do you want to make a side wager that he will go over 49 total yards?'LargeMouthBass said:Ummmm... He put up 22 carries - 144 yards 7 rec - 36 yards 1 td in the first game against the Ravens last year. I will bet you that my numbers will be lot closer to what he puts up this Sunday than his last years numbers. You projected 49 yards in post 13859290 at the top of this thread, 44 rushing and 5 receiving. I made no projection for Hillis in week 13, but instead asked you how he did last year. This was to illustrate to you that having a big game is not out of the question. You came back with flawed logic about how we need to keep it "recent" suggesting that Hillis' first game back from a bad hamstring injury is now the benchmark. I disagreed, and asked you if you wanted to back up your projections with cash.In order to look like you are not "backing down" you changed the parameters of my offer, which was directly from your post #13859290. This means that you are not willing to back up your own projections with your own money. Your projections hold no weight if you cannot stand by them.He put up 22 carries - 144 yards 7 rec - 36 yards 1 td in the first game against the Ravens last year. Good one!So does this mean you don't want to take my bet? GL with Hillis, hope he gives you that 5 points you desperately need.

Desperate, Starting him over CJ Spiller and DWill. To get the thread back on track, Who's starting him with confidence this week? and over who?
Steven Jackson against San Fran is pretty tough, probably about the same as Hillis playing against the Ravens though here aye?Probably going to start him over Steven Jackson this week.
I would not do this, but especially not over DWill this week.Desperate, Starting him over CJ Spiller and DWill. To get the thread back on track, Who's starting him with confidence this week? and over who?
Why cause Spiller and DeAngelo have been lights out all year? I don't care if DeAngelo has a great matchup its debateable whether or not he'll get GL carries. At the very least Hillis is guranteed to get the ball at the stripe if Cleveland runs it down there.Hillis is also part of the passing game which we haven't seen much from DeAngelo this year.We could see a stat line of17 carries48 yards1 TD3 catches 23 yardsThat's a pretty good day in a ppr.I would not do this, but especially not over DWill this week.Desperate, Starting him over CJ Spiller and DWill.
I'd still take DWILL over Hillis this week. Tampa has allowed the most rushing yardage in the NFL over the last 5 weeks. Why cause Spiller and DeAngelo have been lights out all year? I would also take it a step further and see whether Suh plays (not sure how the appeal will play out). If Suh is out, I can see NO getting some yardage on the ground. As uninspiring as Ingram has been this year, he does have 4 TDs in 9 games...I don't expect any of these guys to blow up this week, so a TD (or two) will likely be the determining factor over who was the better start.I would wait and see if Ray Lewis is active. If he is out the only two guys on your list I would start over Hillis are Gerhart and Brown. Ravens coach John Harbaugh didn't rule Ray Lewis (toe) out for Week 13 on Monday, but said he's "probably (the) furthest away of (our) injured guys."
SF hasn't allowed a rushing TD all year. If I start Hillis I'll basically be crossing my fingers for 60 + a touch. Although, this news about Kevin Smith has me optimistic that I might have a better option afoot...Steven Jackson against San Fran is pretty tough, probably about the same as Hillis playing against the Ravens though here aye?Probably going to start him over Steven Jackson this week.
I'm thinking so I didn't see the game but heard he was on the sidelines with his helmet off.Hurt again?
Hurt again?
Peyton Hillis was not in the Browns' locker room following Sunday's loss to the Ravens, and coach Pat Shurmur announced that Hillis is indeed dealing with an undisclosed injury.Shurmur provided no details, saying only that he doesn't "think" Hillis aggravated his previously strained hamstring. Shurmur did concede that Hillis is "a little bit sore," but that wouldn't explain why he wasn't in the locker room. We noticed Hillis getting stretched out on the sideline during the game. His status for Week 14 against the Steelers is uncertain.
Almost spot on, except for that 1 reception. If it makes you feel any better, I was wrong about Hillis not coming back. Hmmm watch a good snail race or Ray Rice have a career day??What, you gonna tell me numbers don't tell the story? Why would anyone in their right mind watch a Browns game where there are 10 other games? I'd rather watch snails race.
No your right, numbers tell you exactly what he did in 2 and 2/3 quarters, just don't boast like your giving a honest opinion about his performance. I seen enough to put Hillis in my lineup befor my options dwindled. If anyone cares he should have walked into the endzone on the long pass but he had to slow up to catch Colt McCoy's pass. He look decent. Not a chance. Shurmur has barely used him in the passing game so far, unlike last year. Go Shurmur! :XSounds like he is a go vs the Steelers. Worth a flex in PPR? He looks fine but the Browns have been awful.Got hurt by the Forte injury so my norml flex is now a RB2.
He was done with about 5 left in the third. Can anyone confirm he returned to the game against Cincy last I heard via Bloom's twitter feed was he was out of the game.I see Hillis was stuck at 12 carries so I assumed he didn't finish.
My linkI could care less about week 13 and 14. Its week 15 against the cardinals that I need his production. I hear he has an undisclosed injury. WTF is an "Undisclosed " injury.

If you are in a start 2RB league with a flex options are limited this year anyways - there are only about 12-15 RB's that are guranteed 15 touches a game - Hillis is one of them.Could you roll with Tolbert, Ingram or DeAngelo over Hillis? My guess is if he starts most people will at least use him as a flex.Actually he looked pretty good last week until he got hurt again. Doesn't seem like the injury is major but you still can't start him this week vs Pittsburgh on short rest. He outperformed most of the backs mentioned last week except for Spiller. The reception he had was for 50 plus yards so 95 combined yards vs Baltimore in 3 quarters is pretty damn good. Like I said he can't be started this week, but next week he will be off an extended rest vs Arizona. He may be playable there.
