Peyton Manning's Worth (1 Viewer)

Just wondering what you think Manning will be like this year without Edge. Will they be a pass happy(er) team and make Mannings value skyrocket, or do you think that without Edge, Manning will be Mediocre?

On that note, what kind of trades are you seeing for Manning?

Manning hasn't ever been mediocre, with or without Edge. I think Manning will have ridiculous numbers this year.

Manning is 30, right? So he's a QB, which means he could still have as many as eight more productive years... but his trade value will decline exponentially by age 33, and possibly as soon as next year. I think all Manning owners shoul consider trading him this offseason, b/c if the Colts do poorly after losing Ege, Manning will decline in value a great deal. This year though, someboy might blow you away with an offer, if they think no inside running game will mean a huge season out of Manning.

the colts have both starting WR locked-up for the next few seasons. there just isn't a reason to trade peyton at this point unless your team has no chance of winning this season...and someone hits you with an offer like the one listed a few posts above

I was offered Big Ben, Ronnie Brown and Boldin for Manning.

I said no.
I think this was a bad move. All three of those guys for Peyton?!

What's wrong with a solid young QB, PLUS a talented young RB, PLUS a young top 10 WR?

I like Manning early-mid 2nd round in a 6 pt/TD pass re-draft league, primarily because with Palmer's injury, there really is no other safe choice at QB. Brady might be QB2, which says a lot.
