Hmm, and no postseason stats on the player page?Am I overlooking a player's fantasy position ranking and "Value" on their player page?
Yeah, that's a problem. There will be others. But we will get them cleaned up as quick as we can.O RLYTarvaris Jackson

Postseason stats are there. They've just moved to a new "tab." Right above the main player stat tables, you'll see something like: " GameLog · Playoffs · 100/300/100" Click on playoffs for the playoff game logs.Hmm, and no postseason stats on the player page?Am I overlooking a player's fantasy position ranking and "Value" on their player page?
This is gone for now, but will return eventually, probably in the offseason. Meanwhile, you could use FBG for historical fantasy rankingsAm I overlooking a player's fantasy position ranking and "Value" on their player page?

Yes, it's not just cosmetic changes. I don't like change either, particularly on a site that I visit often. But let me try to sell you on some of the new features:At first glance, this doesn't just look like cosmetic changes. It will take some getting used to, but I look forward to spending my work day exploring the new PFR.
Thanks, Doug!
It looks great so far. I was just so used to the nice, simple approach. But, I'll admit, I was forced to look at other sites for certain data that you didn't provide. Trust me, you will find NO ONE more resistant to change than I am. FWIW, it took me about a week to get used to the new table style. This database pre-dates the re-launch of PFR in December of 2007. Much of the data on PFR's current site is licensed from the creators of the ESPN Pro Football Encyclopedia. Under the terms of this license we are not allowed to provide a downloadable database of these stats. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you will continue to use PFR as before.
Ah, I got you. Good point. I might be able to do something about that, though. You'll notice a CSV option on top of every table. Click it and you turn the table into raw data. Maybe we could add another option that would turn the table into pre-formatted text. I'll investigate.Thanks.reg said:Copy/Paste used to work awesome on here from PFR. Now, not so much hence the![]()

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/play...00_playoffs.htmDoug, I just tried to look up Riggins' career playoff stats, something I used to be able to do on your site (big fan, BTW), but couldn't find them. Did I miss how to do that or are they not up yet?
Look up a few postsDoug, I just tried to look up Riggins' career playoff stats, something I used to be able to do on your site (big fan, BTW), but couldn't find them. Did I miss how to do that or are they not up yet?
Doug, I posted this in the PFR blog comments but didn't see any response:* In addition to pro bowl appearances, we now have all-pro selections.
Can you address this? TIA.I love the changes in general. Once the dust settles and you work through the problems associated with the update, I'd love to see you add split stats, like those found at ESPN.com.Where did the All Pro information come from? I have always wanted a source of that info, and the only one I was aware of online was the All NFL info at football.about.com. But now I think I don’t understand the difference between All Pro selections and All NFL selections... as an example, your 1991 All Pro team lists 7 CBs, but the 1991 All NFL team at about.com lists 3, and only 6 CBs made the Pro Bowl. Will you please explain this? If it turns out this is because you are including multiple All Pro teams, is there some way to distinguish them (e.g., is the AP All Pro team the “official” one)?
Sorry JWB, it's been pretty crazy keeping up with everything.Right now, what we have is all-pro information from essentially every organization that named a team in a given year. It's all mushed together. If you were named to the first or the second team by the AP or the UPI or the Sporting News or whatever, then you are an All-Pro. One project that's on our medium-term to-do list (i.e. not this month, but hopefully in the offseason (but no guarantees)) is to disaggregate that info and list specifically who was on which team.Just Win Baby said:Doug, I posted this in the PFR blog comments but didn't see any response:* In addition to pro bowl appearances, we now have all-pro selections. Can you address this? Thanks for explaining. I figured it must be something like that, when there are fewer Pro Bowlers at a position in a given year than All Pros using your site info.I was excited to see that you were going to have All Pro info, because I find All Pro selections to be more valuable than Pro Bowls in terms of assessing players. But the inclusion of all the teams and both first and second team leaves me thinking the about.com info is more relevant for that purpose for now. Glad it is on your priority list somewhere to address this.Sorry JWB, it's been pretty crazy keeping up with everything.Right now, what we have is all-pro information from essentially every organization that named a team in a given year.
