How was that not ob?
That's one of the advantages pros get...seating frames up holes (which they get free drops from), where if we play with nothing there we're screwed. Spotters is another.

"Mashed potatoes and gravy" ...after Day's tee-off on 16. Yes! Strykerpks, that was you, right?

He's avg. 27.74 putts a round. He's doing just fine.

Btw I had no idea he's 6' 1" thought he was a small dude

He's one of the worst putters on tour within 10 feet...he's consistently missed big short putts...and he's missed huge short putts late in majors this year. But he's so good outside 10 feet everyone proclaims him the best putter in the world.

He can fix it...not trying to take anything away from him...but it's crazy how everyone ignores it. He knows it...which is why he does that stupid looking at the hole thing.

I didn't know that. I always assumed he was one of the better putters on tour.

Misconception. He's one of the worst putters from exactly 10 feet. From inside 10 feet he has 87.74 percent same as Justin rose who is number 1

Man...cmon...watch him grind over 5 footers...it's painful. He'd probably admit it privately.

He's roughly 100th in both putts made under 5' and between 5'-10'.,.but 7th total...crazy.

Right but look at the percentage. From 4 to 8 feet he is 148th at roughly 67% make.

The leader in putts made from 4 to 8 is 80% unless I miss clicked. That's about 1.5 shots every 10 putts.

It's his weakest part of his game for sure but there are many good players with mediocre stats

You mean this week?

Because for the season he's 93rd.

Think I read he missed 15 putts inside 10 feet at the U.S. Open. That worked out OK.

It did...and he made a ton of long ones...but how far was that putt he missed on 17? Ended up not costing him. The 6 footer on 17 at the Open cost him.

No, I yelled "Supplies!" when Iwata was on 3

J/K My old man even scolded some guy who yelled something on 4 I think it was. The crowd pretty much shamed him after that. Slightly embarrassing but no less than 10 people came up to him and said "Thank you". Surprisingly there were very few doooshbags where we were. We pretty much stayed on the front 9 except for some time on 10.

I know you guys know this but it's interesting to watch the shots get better as the day goes on. The cream certainly rises. And when they're in trouble, they get out of it really well. TV sometimes doesn't do it justice. We were on 8 for Jones (might have been Day, it was tough to see) 2nd shot out of the crap to the green and that was something to behold.

What a course though. I was there in aught 4 I think it was when Vijay won it but I still think some of the views are gorgeous. I wasn't the guy who had his phone out all day but I snapped a few

Spieth's bounce back in Majors this year is almost 50%. Day leads the Tour this year in that stat at 34.3% (like 4.0 better than 2nd place.)

Would love to see either win. Spieth to cap off an amazing year, Day to finally break through. Hoping for the latter a little more.

Great year of major championship golf, very memorable.
