***Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) at New York Jets*** Hurts-OUT! Howard-OUT, Miles Sanders-IN (1 Viewer)

This will be a good test for Minshew, if Hurts can't go. I think he's a good backup, but can he do better than Hurts with the same weapons- Goedert and Smith and Sanders/Gainwell are good weapons.

It would be something if Minshew in the back up role, one he is well suited for right now, would be awesome to see him come off the bench after sitting there and observing for weeks and wondering if he would ever get the chance and I bet he could do a FitzMagic performance for a week or two and at least give them something to think about until Hurts is a full go.

Chance for Minshew if he gets the chance is to show that he can excel in a back up role and he will get paydays for many years. Colt McCoy is terrible and he still gets a back up job somewhere every year.

Found myself picking up M Sanders as a FA pick up from a disgruntled owner. Now I am getting a lil giddy about his prospects this week. Also sneaking him into a DraftKings line up - priced right. On another team I roster Hurts and picked up T Hill on waivers for week 14 bye. Welllllll... not so sure about playing Hurts this week now even if he does get the start. Play em or pivot is my dilemma. Then it's QB's like: Heinecke, Taylor, Teddy, or Minshew ;)

The only thing stopping Sanders now is the coach
I still think that maybe he’s a numbskull and we haven’t heard the full story. TWO coaching staffs haven’t liked him. And we’ve seen him do dumb stuff like run out of bounds twice when the team was trying to run out the clock.

i do tend to agree that where there's smoke there is usually fire. they certainly don't trust him with runs inside, hence Howard's usage numbers out of seemingly nowhere. the flashy runs are covering up some lack of skill or decision making somewhere we're not seeing in him.

by the way, as far as desperation plays go, there are potential RB gold to be had in this game on both sides of the field. Okay, not gold, maybe some copper, but still.

Jets have given up 6th most average yards to RB's at 128.9/gm and the most rushing TD's at 20. so Miles or whoever ends up getting the carries on the Philly side should feast.

Philly is middle of the road on yards given up at 112.7/gm, but tied for 7th most rushing TD's given up at 12. Coleman and Johnson could be startable this week.

I have Scott locked in but if he can’t go I’m rocking Gainwell.  Either one has a very good shot at scoring today.

Minshew will do enough to win,Eagles D should step up against lousy Jets....

Eagles- 24

Jets- 17

I'm in bye week hell with Chubb and the Green Bay RBs on bye. I'm already having to start Matt Breida, and I really could use Scott as well. If any of you are watching during warm-ups and can hazard a guess on how he looks or if it looks like they're running in an order in which he won't play much I'd thank you tremendously. It's pretty much a desperation play anyway this week, but if looks like he might be limited or held out from his recent usage then I'd rather throw an all-or-nothing WR out there in my flex.

Coleman and Johnson could be huge on DFS tix today, I didn't invest in them but I do have Sanders on a lot of rosters today, hope he plays

the Jets have been brutal in first halfs? Well....meet the Eagles, who have been brutal early in most games too.

That was disturbingly quick

man that was a beautiful return by the Jets on that opening kick

Maybe the best blocked kickoff return I've ever seen.  No idea why Berrios is celebrating like he did it.  It took something special to NOT score on that play.  The only defender within 20 yards of him, turned backwards, being blocked, made the tackle on him.

Started Goedert today with hopes! Hoping Minshew would find the TEs he seemed to love so much in JAX. And sure enough, Dallas Goedert is 3/62/1. On the first drive.

And let's face it. The Jets stink. Really badly. Wilson is more than suspect. I don't see him getting much better as the year progresses. Still off-target on easy throws for a professional quarterback. Flacco and Mike White moved the team better, no doubt. But it's time to figure out what you've got with Wilson, so in he goes.

That guy avoided the block and the Jets guy let up because he would have blocked him in the back. Then the unblocked Eagle cut down Berrios's angle. It was a great play by that guy, not anything wrong with Berrios, really.  But Berrios had a gaping hole to run through at first, that I'll give you.

Just traded him away this AM. Haven't seen anything to get excited about. Too soon to give up but he was my QB3 anyway

I think you want Jekyll and Hyde as your reference. Just for future usage. Doesn't bother me one bit, but it's so you know.
That sounded prissy, but isn't. I hate watching people I know not get jobs, intellectual respect, etc., because they misuse a common idiom.

And to belabor it, just so I'm correct it's, when used as an adjective, "Jekyll-and-Hyde" with the hyphens connecting the words. For instance: "Miles Sanders had a Jekyll-and-Hyde performance yesterday," is the correct form of usage, if I'm not mistaken. A multi-word descriptor, used as one term, is connected with hyphens when adjectival, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe we can get Pip's Invitation in here from his Disney vaca to chime in on this.
