May have been mentioned before but worth saying again...

adding -GATE to something to name the scandal.

DeflateGATE

I think it has been mentioned here, but definitely worth mentioning again.
I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before, but someone should bring this up again.
I cannot stress this one enough... Again.

Ya Think?? Now go take a bio break and check on the wifey
 can't- she's preggers.
Dentist would recomend taking a bio break on the wifey.

'Advanced stats' or 'analytics' for something that's not advanced or complicated in any way. Typically overused in the context of sports where people think they're smart for looking at something that's been widely known for at least 10 years (per possession statistics in basketball, for example) but I heard it used earlier today at work when someone was told to "run the analytics".

Any and everything on social media that starts along the lines of...... this guy did this and what happened next will amaze/shock you/make you cry/make you cheer.... etc. Ugh. Just stop.

Heard this ad on a podcast and it was like a greatest hits anthology of every annoying business catchphrase of the last five years.

Hi Tom Bodett for Motel 6 with a word for business travelers. Seems business has its own language these days full of buzzwords. Like buzz word. Or net net. And after a day spent white boarding a matrix of action items and deliverables, it's nice to know you can always outsource your accommodation needs to the nearest Motel 6. You'll get a clean comfortable room for the lowest price - net net - of any national chain. Plus data ports and free local calls, in case you tabled your discussion, and need to reconvene off line. So you can think of Motel 6 as your total business travel solution provider, vis-à-vis cost effective lodging alternatives for Q1 through Q4. I think. Just call 1800 4Motel6 or visit motel6.com. I'm Tom Bodett for Motel 6, and we'll maintain the lighting device in its current state of illumination for you.

Yes, the internet has been terrible lately. Every link from facebook is to something with pop-ups, slide-shows, numbered lists of things, or shocking stuff I'll never believe -- often all of the above.

What rockband/flower/color/Simpsons Character/pizza topping/mixed drink are you?

"Gotta go with my gut on this" or "gotta go with my gut here." Utterly meaningless, stupid and off-putting and used to death on reality television, of which I don't even watch that much.

Yeah, but did they crunch the numbers?

Not sure this was mentioned but "Throws shade"

When did this become something?

Saw it yesterday: "Chuck Knoblauch Throws Shade at Andy Pettitte over Yankees Retiring Number"

is this really happening? lol.

trying to think if anything from the world of drag-queens has ever crossed over?... voguing, I guess.

'Grind' as a substitute for working hard or doing anything really.

"We have our fun, but when it's time to get stuff done we put our heads down and we grind."

"I'm on my grind today."

"The NBA playoffs are a grind."

This is a good one. I've heard this a lot lately and I'm still not sure I totally understand what it means. I mean, I get the gist of it, but it's still confusing.

Never heard this one before, but I am going to be the first in my office to onboard it.

I'm glad you sort of understand it, but I have no idea WTF that means. I need to know so I can mock it when I hear it.

I just mean that I know that it's bad. As in, if I hear that someone throws shade at someone, it's not a good thing. But I'm not quite sure I understand what constitutes shade. Up until the headline posted above, I thought it meant staring someone down with the evil eye, type thing.
