Phrases/terms that need to be retired immediately (1 Viewer)

#nofilter in pretty much any social media post....

so basically you need to tell us that you didn't need to enhance your awesome photo?  congrats, i guess...

I told my 11 year old son today that if I hear "like a boss" one more time I'm taking his ipod away for a month.

As you should. Like a boss is almost older than your kid. He's going to get made fun of pretty seriously if he says that in public. I'd recommend you teach him savage, lit, and low key.

I see your Bae, and raise you a Ftw.

I'm proud to say I don't know what either means. I could easily google these, but I won't out of principle.
FTW isn't bad, and it's not very common anymore, but the "word" Bae needs to die a painful death.

If I hear my wife say "_______ is tha bomb!" again I don't think I'm going to let her have sex with me for a few days.

I'm serious.

I used to never mind it but "standing on his head" for goalies seems to amplify right around playoff time every year and pundits can't help themselves.

8yo floppinho has been testing the waters at home with "deez nuts".

Sounds current and cool though, right.

That all sounds wrong. All because of "deez nuts"

Unless you are singing the Four Tops song please stop saying "Reach Out"

Savage - can't say I've seen that one

Lit - hasn't that been around for 20 years?  Like... wasted?  Drunk?  High?

Low key - seen this.... and even as one word, somehow.  ("lowkey").... and I believe it's antithesis, these days, is "legit".  Yes?

Here's how your young son can use this slang:

Savage is like boss, just kind an ubiquitous term for someone that's a badass. "You see Steph Curry last night? He so savage. "

Lit is like hype was a few years ago or turnt more recently, doesn't necessarily have anything to do with booze or drugs. "Can't believe we got a sub 5th hour. All my shooters are in that class too. It's gonna be lit."

Lowkey is the new on the down low or DL. "I only fux wit black girls but lowkey I'd show Ariana Grande my stroke game."

Low key has been around forever. You on point Tip? All the time Phife.

What's the ruling about "on point?"

Low key or down low? Which is better?

On point is fine. Since on fleek fell off, there isn't really anything new to fill the void in our vocab so I think on point is a solid standby. If you say down low ima highkey laugh at you.

I'm really fed up with all things "Keep Calm and..."  How many t-shirts/coffee mugs/ads does this need to be on?  Ugh.

I'm also really fed up with Wells Fargo, but that's another story.
