Pick Me, Pick Me (1 Viewer)

board member since old Yeller

participated in Survivor last year and made the first two cuts

I'm an endangered species (Jags season ticket holder)

1. I am "excellent" to everyone.....except those in my leagues who FBG's help me dominate2. active participant in Anarchy leagues, SSL's, PDSL's, WSL's, and FBG contests3. I will draft Devin Aromashodu way before I should if selected to participate4. I made out several times with country singer Sara Evans who went to my high schoolthank you
Did you get to touch her jubblies? She has fantastic jubblies.

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but last year's ulitimate survivor probably got the most attention out of any of my leagues.

My resume includes a cornhole with Rudnicki, an underwater mortgage, and a bunch of old Playboys from the 70s.

While I'm not very good at fantansy football, I still enjoy mocking people's picks in the draft chat and updating the leugae threads with weekly results.

I'll also volunteer to be dictator of a draft or two if you need help with additional manpower even if I'm not participating.

I am a newbie to these boards but would love the opportunity to compete against the staff and other board members in this unique contest. I've been playing fantasy football for 11 years and have won numerous championships. I've had success building and drafting teams in different formats from auction to draft, including IDP and dynasty leagues. You'll just have to take my word for it. We all have our fish stories, right?

I have been a paying member of footballguys.com for probably 7 or 8 years now and really respect what Dodds and Bryant have done with the site. In exploring other fantasy football sites, I've learned to appreciate what footballguys has to offer.

I know this all sounds like suck up material, but that's alright. I've been called worse.

I'd like to play.

In addition to being a member of the message boards for over 10 years now, I was an original participant in the first ever Staff vs Message Board fantasy football league.

I have also contributed fairly accurate predictions of the following overvalued / undervalued players:

2007 - Lawrence Maroney Overvalued

Reggie Bush will be an average player at best - 2006

Warrick Dunn = Value - 2005 (finished with 1600+ total yards)

Keenan McCardell Pure Value - 2005

And of course the long since deleted Rams = Speed thread of 1999 in which I predicted breakout success of the Rams offense.

Good luck to all that participate.

Played in the ultimate survivor last year, and I would like to do it again. Didn't make it past the first round.....but survived 3 weeks.....I was competitive!

I am a regular poster here on FBG for years, and provide opinions on many of the Player Spotlights....with some of my comments making the Spotlight page....Thanks Staff.

I play in 3 regular leagues. One of them I have played for 11 years and won 4 times (and I can prove it if I had to). The others I joined last year. So my win rate is pretty good.

I promise I will be at the draft ON TIME. I won't be that guy that forgot to show up and delayed the draft about an hour....that happened at my draft last year.

On the best features of Footballguys.com are contests like this, where consistent contributors to the Message Board get rewarded by playing in a contest for free and compete with other FBG around the country. One the best things about the draft was the constant chatter in the message box.....some of the stuff was hilarious. I understand that it takes a lot of effort from the Staff to put this contest together, and if selected, I want to say thank you for the opportunity. In addition to the talented staff, features like this is what makes Footballguys.com stand out from other fantasy football websites.

I would love the opportunity to play in a Ultimate survivor against some of the best in the business. I don't post very much on the message boards, but I lurk a lot and have gained a lot of valuable information. I have given a little, but near the amount I have received. I have played fantasy football for 9 years and been a member here for 6 years. I am currently in 8 leagues total, all idp with 6 being keeper or dynasty. I am the only 2 time winner in my local redraft league, I have won my keeper league once while finishing 2nd 3 times. Two of my dynasty leagues are in their first year but in my other 3, I have won once, been competitive every year and have taken a garbage team to a very competitive team in 3 years.

Thank you for your consideration

Played last year and enjoyed it very much. I draft quickly and I try to add something positive to the board when I'm here and don't post just to post (previous post, RE: jubblies, not withstanding). And I'm a subscriber.

reasons I should get one of these spots

1) at the final table last year

2) consistent good and helpful posts throughout the boards (okay, yes some sarcastic ones too)

3) one of most successful players for several years in the Mock Draft Forums "Survivor Leagues"

3a) one of the most helpful drafters in these leagues in posting the drafts and helping other drafters with their picks

4) successful player in WCOFF since it's inception

4a) developer and wrote rules for GridIron $10K League (first league drafted on Thursday night after the first game of the season. Unique format where players get their 1st and 2nd round draft spots via auction before it turns to serpentine draft and free agents are acquired for REAL money bids. Also only league where there is more than $1K paid to each weekly high score)

When I was in the service, I learned to never volunteer for anything unless you knew what you were volunteering for. I dunno, so don't pick me. OK, I'm kidding, but I don't know what this thing is all about.

I've never read Playboy for the articles

I won't steal the vicodin out of your medicine cabinet

I promise not to burn down your house down while you’re gone

What more can you want?

Pick me. Won a bunch of leagues and lost some more. (hyper) Active poster and I help peoples find their games on Sunday when they too cheap to buy the package. Love the idea of a survivor league as it's just the draft. Gimme a shot, I spend more time here than most. In fact I just saw that I have posted nearly 20,000 times. Deserving of a slot for that alone, no?

I personally believe, that U.S. Americans, are unable to do so, because uh, some, people out there, in our nation don’t have maps. and uh… I believe that our education like such as in South Africa, and the Iraq, everywhere like such as… and, I believe they should uh, our education over here, in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.

I'd love to do this again. I am very active in the Shark Pool as an Eagles insider and I did very well in this contest last year (made the finals). Jason Wood and Jeff Pasquanio can vouch for my credentials the best of the staff members. Hope to do this again!

*edit* Oh yeah, my dedication to this contest was so great last year that I drafted my team for the final round after getting a hernia at work, quickly going to the medical center at 6:30 PM to get it pushed back in, and making the draft at 8PM. Had surgery two days later.

1. I came in 3rd overall last year

2. Had the #1 pick in the final round and went with my head (FBG experts rankings, personal study, strength of schedule) and picked MJD - had I picked with my heart (Titans homer) and went CJ3 I woulda been Ultimate Survivor Overall Champion - so if you let me in this year I promise to pick with my heart EVERY pick

3. Very flexible with draft times or league scoring rules

4. been playing FF since 1990

5. I knew Sheryl Crow before Lance Armstrong did (although i didn't 'know' her in the biblical sense)

1. Finished 2nd overall in the 2008 Survivor Contest

2. Been a loyal member and was able to snag member #395 when the boards switched over in 2003.

3. Found myself tracking my FBG Survivor Contest team more than any of the 2 Dynasty and 4 Redrafts I'm in.......this competition is tough and winners should take pride in their accomplishments.

4. This contest is like crack......I'm addicted.

Have played FF since 1988.

Many, many championships, but most proud of winning 4 out of 8 championships in super-complex, competitve cap keeper league.

Trick has been my VBD-like formula, which I've been tweaking for years.

Ready to test it against the best. I think it beats Joe's Secret Formula.

I'll pimp the contest and FBG on Twitter (@vote4parag).

:hey: Pick Me :hey:

I used to post a lot more but now I'm just an every day lurker. Not really a lurker so much as a silent stalker.

I've drafted in every Survivor League in the Mock Draft Forum. I've only won 3 times but I still consider it quite an accomplishment with the level of drafters here.

Besides that...I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.

And if those aren't enough, I can tell you about my brush with greatness earlier this month with Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus. :cliffhanger:

1. Always draft a competitive team in these type of leagues. Advanced out of the first round the last couple of years including best overall record in round one last year.

2. Ignagural EBF survivor champ, Interboard Challenge champ 2008, blah, blah. At least middle of the pack in terms of experience and success.

3. Facilitate the organization/drafts of the popular FBG Survivor leagues which generally go off very smoothly.

4. Only un-excellent on rare occasions which usually involve alcohol. Actually provide as much help as possible around here to other posters in anything related to real estate investment, landlord/tenant help, and cycling.

5. I won't let my wife draft my team for me.

6. I'll actually read the rules before the draft and show up on time.

7. I'm always active in post draft discussions and evaluations in these leagues.

8. Enjoy having fun. These leagues are a very good time.

 This is never going away, is it?

I have been playing fantasy football since 1988. I have won many championships, a lot of that had to do with a different message board I had a hard time leaving. I am always in the hunt, I figured out VBD on my own without the help of the internet.

I followed Matt Waldman over here and have not looked back. This place is awesome. I have had season tickets to the University of Texas Longhorns since 1993 the year I graduated from the University. I was 1 of 16000 season ticket holders, there are now 65,000. I saw a program transform in front of my eyes. I am an expert at calling Longhorn players value in the NFL although underestimated J. Charles (relied on talent in college), and I overestimated V Young, (not over yet).

I will participate in a positive way in a this league. Thanks.

I am predicting Chris Johnson to have a huge year .....................

............................ oh yeah I am Canadian so I like to draft lots of CFL players.

I'm not absolutely sure at the present time if I can commit to any of the draft dates for these leagues, but I did want to mention that I had an absolute blast last year drafting with Bryant and Bloom. One of the most enjoyable drafts I've ever been in!! If I find out that I can positively be available, I'll send a PM to Clayton if it's not past the deadline.

Also, good luck to all of you who are fortunate enough to participate in these this year!! You will have a great time and you will not regret it!!!

Might as well throw my hat in the ring.

I've been around here since Cheatsheets.net

Have really enjoyed this competition the last couple years.

Have made the playoffs almost every year for the past 12 years in the main league I focus on, winning 3 championships in the last 5 years.

Trying to put submissions in the other contests to get in as well.

Will be flexible with whatever league I'd participate in.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Because I beat Dodds in FFPC League 7 last year. :football:

Oh, and because I've been around for years and this site rocks!!!!!

Pick me, cuz I actually bought a championship ring...with my own money!

Drive round trip 10 hours to make fantasy draft.

Lost 2 relationships cuz of fantasy football.

...and one job!

I deserve to participate in the FBG contest because I participate in discussions across the board all year long in a proper way. I respect the rules set in place on this message board, participate heavily in the Spotlight Series where members get to post their projections and opinions on NFl players.

I also visit the Assistant Coach Forums and answer various PM's that are questions by different posters. I have played fantasy football for many years, just like many others have and have won more than my share of leagues. I don't visit other fantasy sites, I've been a paid member here since Old Yeller days. I am an FBG guy through and through.

Iwannabeacowboybaby!

I participate in all the Survivor leagues in the Mock Drafts R Us Forum. I was chosen for the last two Ultimate Survivors and would like to three-peat. Your consideration would be appreciated.

A good limerick got me entered in year one.

And for the first five weeks it fun.

Year two I got in,

and I vowed I would win,

But alas by week five I was done.

Hope that helps

I made out with Joey Lauren Adams while she was in town filming "Dazed and Confused". She said she was on some FOX show at the time.

I have shaken hands with and more with some, don't get too excited:

Bill Clinton

George Bush sr and jr

Lance Armstrong

Hakeem Olajuwon

Clint Eastwood

Dennis Quaid

When I was 8 years old Nolan Ryan showed me how he threw his fastball, curveball, and changeup. The changeup was the only one that worked for me.

There are more...

I am a longtime fantasy player and love this website and visit everyday. Will be a very hands on owner.

Played in fantasy football leagues since 1990

Multiple championships

Finished top 12 in last year's Ultimate Survivor

Avid hoarder of Wheatback pennies

2 time advancer past the first round. Was at both of my drafts on time and am flexible on draft dates. More importantly my birthday is in 18 days and it would a great present. :excited:

I've participated in the last two events (advancing once) and won a polo in a caption this pic contest qualifier...which I STILL wear.

I was also co-champion of last years's suicide pool. Hopefully that helps a bit.

I like this format and I post year-round. Either way, good luck with the contest.

P.S. Thanks to Quizguy for the heads-up re this thread.

In an effort to help rid this industry of cheats and crooks, I'm suing the clowns who ran AFFL and cheated many out of their hard earned winnings. I'm here to protect the industry!! :goodposting: :boxing:

FBG subscriber $$$

King guppy in both of my $ leagues.

Main league - Only won the league twice, but never been lower than 4th in scoring by playoff time since 1998 (I can back this up since my main league was moved to MyFantasyLeague.com in 2000)

New $ league - won both years back to back. The first year, I gave my brother and dad the same custom draft sheet I used to draft from including notes of players I was targeting, all three teams made the playoffs.

Punctual and efficient drafterRespectful of others

Unconventional drafter. Many people usually don't like my teams right after the draft, but I put a great deal of thought and care into crafting my teams

Don't have much scratch being divorced with 3 kids, so this is close as I get to a good competitive league

Thank you for hosting this great competition whether you allow me participate or not. :shiny:
