LB Antonio Pierce said Sunday that he's been playing through "an undisclosed thing I can't talk about that's hurting me right now."

He did add that the injury "is why I can't catch the ball right now" and sure enough Pierce dropped a would-be interception Sunday.

Pierce has been wearing a protective device on his injured hand, though it's hidden well beneath his gloves. Pierce said the injury isn't serious, the New York Daily News reports.

Pierce is playing with a cast on his left hand, the Associated Press reports.

Spin: Pierce isn't having problems tackling, but he dropped an easy interception last week against the Redskins because of the cast. The Giants won't say how Pierce got hurt or what exactly the injury is.
