Players Likely To Sit In Week 18 (1 Viewer)

While the vast majority of leagues are done, some of our leagues still play week 18.

Who are the players likely to sit, and for those still playing, who are guys worth grabbing off waivers that could produce for a week?

Teams almost certainly to sit guys:

Bills: Ty Johnson a pick up?
Chiefs: Wentz, Steele, Gray?
Chargers: Heinicke, Vidal?
Houston: Pierce?
Eagles: McKee, Shipley?
Rams: Corum?
Packers: Willis, Wilson, Brooks?

ETA: Purdy could be out due to injury, so Dobbs may be worth a look.

Feel free to add others I’m missing.

Packers and Lions playing for the 1 seed. I think your packers guys are good to go.

Vikings playing the Lions for #1. Pack is locked in at #6 or #7.

I literally pulled up the schedule, saw Lions Vikings, and my brain said "Yep, Packers Lions for the 1 seed."

Haha total brain fart.

Everyone ignore me on this.

Are the Rams playing for anything?
Don’t think so - they won the NFC West, so they’re locked into #3 (maybe #4 at worst).
I thought I read the 3 and 4 could flip between LA & TB.
Bucs or Falcons would pass Rams if Rams lose. Both have better conference records than LA.
:2cents: not playing the lions or Vikings week 1 seems like a darn good reason to try to beat the Seahawks.
aren’t the falcons eliminated?

Falcons get in by beating Carolina and Tampa losing to New Orleans - so not likely to happen.

As for the Rams, I guess it’s a gamble to play your starters and risk key injuries to avoid a matchup you’d rather not have. Hard to say, as every coach is probably different.

At QB Wentz is obvious. Potentially Sam Howell if Seattle can take the flak for not letting Geno reach his incentives (don't start me on this).

For RB Davis in BUF and Vidal in LA would be my sleepers for the week. Tank might get a huge workload to see what he can do with it for JAX as well.

Terrell Jennings in New England if he is fit this week.

Coin flip in Indy, but I doubt JT plays beyond first series this week.

Super sleeper D Laube in Vegas.

WR - Bobo SEA

For Eagles: Shipley was out with a concussion last week. If Gainwell isn't available, and Shipley is still out, the Eagles used Tyrion Davis-Price at RB. McKee will almost certainly get a ton, if not all, of playing time in week 18 since Pickett has broken ribs. At WR, Jahan Dotson and TE Grant Calcaterra would probably see the most targets, maybe take a shot on WR Johnny Wilson. Honestly, McKee is probably the only backup worth starting with confidence for Philly. Still waiting to see if the starters play and try and get Saquon the rushing record, don't think they will, but need to keep an eye on that.

Texans are playing the starters. Not specified how long, but Ryan’s wants the taste of the Ravens game out of their mouths before the playoffs begin

These are always the toughest to analyze - not sure if the starters play a few series, a quarter, or an entire half. Would like to pick up Pierce, but not sure how many touches he'll get.

Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong both out for Saturday, so that leaves D'onta Foreman for the truly desperate. Maybe he falls into the end zone or something if the Browns' offense actually gets within seeing distance of it.
