One thing I always watch for every preseason and in the early games is how players are adjusting to a new role, Offensive system, defenses who have changed from 3-4 to 4-3 or visa-versa.

Please post 1 thing you are watching and why.

Here's mine:

Edgerrin James will be running more behind a FB this year , more so than in his career so far. ( Per Cecil Lammey post in an interview with Kent Somers from the Arizona republic, I'll find the link and post it later)

My concern , we all know last year Edge struggled at the beginning of the year, whether he was adjusting or the O Line was getting better ... for whatever reason he turned it on down the stretch.

SO.... with Edge running behind a FB will we see another adjustment period at the beginning of the season ? How does he adjust and does he take advantage of the blocks set up for him?

Second thing I'm watching is in New England. With Moss there and Maroney coming off a shoulder injury, will Moss's presence and Maroney's injury significantly cut into the TD production of Maroney in the red zone or will Brady still spread the ball ,where he's so effective in disecting a defense and keep them guessing.
