Ryan Mathews? Norm is still taking his top playmaker out when they need to score late in the game. PuzzlingSeems like head coaches sometimes need a kick to the fuzzy yambags as far as using certain players more. Happend to Frazier with Harvin and look at their success this year. Other coaches who need a swift kick???Mike Tomlin with Wallace is a real head scratcher. He should be targeted on screens, slants, end arounds etc..Whoever Saints coach is with Sproles this season. Pretty simple ######. Look at film from last year and call same plays.Gailey with CJ Spiller. thats a no brainer but he refuses to do anything but split fjax and spiller down the middle.any others i'm missing?
Spiller is probably the best back in the league, he makes Fred Jackson look like he has a piano on his back.

While I agree that Jackson is a good RB and isn't what he used to be, how can you argue with Spiller's production when he is the lead horse? He goes nuts when he doesn't have to share the load. He's far more explosive than Jackson. As a coach, I may be willing to deal with his short comings with blitz pickup when he is averaging about 7 yards per carry. And as a coach, it would be your job to create a game plan that takes into consideration Spiller's strengths and weaknesses. When Chris Johnson was running for 2,000 yards, did the coach take him off the field because he couldn't pick up the blitz? No. He is your best weapon and the defense has to account for him when on the field.Just my .2 cents.'Aaron Rudnicki said:'ShaHBucks said:Spiller is probably the best back in the league, he makes Fred Jackson look like he has a piano on his back.did you people even watch Fred Jackson play last year? He's not 100% right now.Spiller still whiffs when picking up the blitz and lacks any power between the tackles. That goal line fumble against the Patriots was pretty awesome too.
Spiller is great, but the idea that Fred Jackson is useless is ridiculous. He led the league in yards per carry last year. The people whining about him getting touches have to be Spiller owners. As a Bills fan, I would be upset if the coaches didn't keep Fred Jackson involved when he's healthy and able to contribute. He's much better than people in here are giving him credit for. They should use both of these guys. They are 2 of the 3 best weapons the team has on offense. While I agree that Jackson is a good RB and isn't what he used to be, how can you argue with Spiller's production when he is the lead horse? Marcel Reece and James Casey
Even in this pass happy league you can't be that one dimensional. Every winning team needs a semblance of a running game so they don't drop 7 in coverage every play. When a team has nothing but the pass it's pretty easy to defend (see Packers v Giants 2011 playoffs).Drew BreesIt's pointless to ever hand the ball off when you have him under center. He should be throwing for 7,000 yds and 65 TDs a season.
Moreno is like a cloud of terrible.Moreno. Has been inactive ever since his fumble in week 2. McGahee is definitely the man on first and second down, as well as short yardage situation, and I understand Denver's desire to get Hillman involved (and he has looked pretty good), but Moreno has always been a great receiver out of the backfield. I'd prefer they suit up Moreno rather than Ball and give him 5-10 touches per game--screens, flairs,, circle routes, runs to the outside. He's an atrocious up field RB, but he has soft hands and can be sneaky slippery in space.
I had listed him in this thread as someone I consider underused too, but I didn't want to self-promote so I'm quoting yours for context. Besides, you said it first. At any rate, Ivory isn't going anywhere:From Rotoworld today:Chris Ivory....mostly because I would think he has some trade value.....and he may be a better back than Ingram....just needs to stay healthy
Interim coach Joe Vitt shot down speculation that fourth-string RB Chris Ivory could be shopped at the trade deadline.Ivory has expressed frustration with his limited role of late. "Chris ain't going nowhere," snapped Vitt when asked. Realizing the Packers and Cardinals could use a power back of Ivory's caliber, perhaps Vitt is merely playing hard to get. Although Ivory has yet to play a snap this season, the Saints do value him as between-the-tackles insurance for Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas. Ivory is a restricted free agent in 2013.
