Got my draft on Wed. Figured we can have a be-all thread with tips, advice, sleepers, etc. My league is one in which you draft 11 players and they make up your roster for the entire playoffs. So basically if a guy gets knocked out of the playoffs that slot no-longer accumulates points. Id imagine 1st 3 picks would be Rodgers, Brees, & Brady in some order. Ill share my rankings when I do them during the week and once playoff teams/seeds are determined.

Looks like a NY bias here. I also had a 10 teamer (live in Michigan) and you can almost completely flip-flop Giants and Falcons players in our draft compared to this one. I happen to believe in the Giants though so I grabbed a few of them, basically 2 teaming myself with NY and NE players. Our 1st three picks were decisive and quick.....Brees...Rodgers...Brady (me). Rice went right after my Brady pick. Since the draft went down in MI, Calvin and Stafford went in the 1st round....for better or worse.

Yep all NY/NJers in this league. FYI I think the Giants are gonna beat the Falcons yet somehow I ended up with 4 Falcons including Matt Ryan. Im team #8. I hate my team, dont think I have much of a shot. Ending up with only 2 AFC players hurts.

Basically if you get stuck with a late pick, you only have two options. Pick a surprise team and load up on them or best player available. I tried to do some hybrid of both loading up on Falcons and dont think it will work out.

Yep. I got lucky with the 3rd overall pick and grabbed Brady. Also have Gronk, V Cruz, B Jacobs, S Ridley, Tynes, and NE D so most of my playoff team is from NE/NY. These things are all dumb luck. You've got to pick a team you think has a chance, and roll with it's players.

Our playoff rules were different which I should have mentioned. We combined WR/TE in our playoff draft so you can start 2 of either. I was still surprised he was there at 18th for me though.

We had our draft last night. Scoring is different from the usual system though, and there is no bench, just an in person draft and you're with the QB-K-RB-RB-RB-WR-WR-WR-DEF for how ever long their team lasts.

QB's: 50 points at 200 yards, 25 points for every 50 yards after that. TD's are how ever many yards long the play was, every TD inside the 20 is 20 points. TD of 8 yards = 20, TD of 87 yards = 87.

RB: 50 points at 70 yards, 1 point for every 1 yard after. TD's are how every many yards long the play was. 30 points if they reach 5 receptions.

WRs/TE: 10 points for every reception. TD's are how ever many yards long the play was.

Kicker: Field goals are worth how ever many yards long the kick was.

DEF: 10 points for every sack, INT, fumble recovery, etc. TD's/Kick returns are worth how ever many yards long the play was.

I had no plans of drafting Atlanta heavy going into this, but it just ended up going that way when my plan of taking Stafford early in the second was shot.

Ended up with: Ray Rice - Calvin Johnson - Mike Wallace - Kevin Smith - Julio Jones - Matt Ryan - Matt Bryant - Jacquizz Rodgers - Detroit DEF. So, I guess go Lions and Falcons....!!

Wha? Explain to me the complete lack of respect for Atlanta players. Ryan at 6.6? Julio at 5.5? That's ridiculous.

The people in this league must have the Giants winning the game between NY-ATL. I would have taken Ryan at 5.5 but it was a snake draft and the teams drafting from spots 1-4 already having QB's allowed me to take Julio instead and then grab Ryan at 6.6. Both rounds seem late for those guys, but when I missed out on the top 4-5 QB's I decided to load up elsewhere... then got a little lucky to have these two fall

Yeah! I'm the only guy left with a full roster. Looking pretty good so far. Still chasing the guy who picked Brees for 1st overall but if NE makes the SB, I'm looking real good for some money.
