The Wild card round is rather flat as far as storylines. Sure we have 2 rookie QBs facing off in Washington and the Colts visiting Baltimore, but unless I'm missing something there isn't much intrigue in the first round. Minnesota / Green Bay might be a good game but we've seen it twice already, I think the Bengals will upset the Texans but there isn't history between the teams and unless you want to call a changing of the guard of elite WR - AJ to AJ, it just doesn't get my interest aside from what should be a decent game.
But, in the future rounds, we might get a chance to see:
- Peyton vs. the Colts
changing of the guard, and just a pretty cool story line. Rookie QB who "pushed out" the HOFer (perhaps GOAT), Peyton's comeback, etc.
- Green Bay vs. San Fran - two of the best franchises in sports
- Ray Lewis vs. Peyton, two of the best ever
- Peyton vs. Brady, always exciting
- Harbaugh Bowl
- Denver vs. Shanny
- Michigan QB Super Bowl
- Tony Gonzalez make a run for a Super Bowl before retiring
- Rookie QB Super Bowl
I want to see Tony make a run even if I don't care for the team; Colts vs. Peyton, and Jim Harbaugh quiet his critics (although I don't think we will)
Who do you want to see and what story lines are out there?
