I heard that TO was actually the 4th wise man and gave Jesus the gift of 'Awesome', but then the three other wise men conspired together to get TO written out of the new testament. And then I heard that all three wise men were later found to have suffered from sharpie-related deaths.

I don't like the guy and think that he is a complete "donkey", but if I was the owner of an NFL team and was only interested in winning, I would want him on my team. He is a playmaker...plain and simple.

That being said, as I have stated here before, I sat right behind him courtside at a Lakers game and he was a jerk. Didn't talk to anyone (other than my wife :bag: ) and totally ignored people when they said anything to him. Didn't even acknowledge anyone at all...except Spike Lee.

I'd be interested to know more....so he hit on your wife?

I voted - Take him or leave him.

I don't get too riled up over his antics and actually find most of the stuff he does entertaining. Sure he pisses people off, but it gives me something to laugh about.

I voted can't stand him. I would draft him on a fantasy team, but if I had the authority to sign to a real NFL contract would not do it. The cost is just too great. He goes way beyond not being a team player, closer to a team destroyer.

I have very mixed feelings about Owens, but in the end, I voted that I hate him.

I am a big fan of "if you walk the walk you can talk the talk" That's the reason I love Chad Johnson so much. I've had CJ on my team for 3 years and I love how much he talks trash because he works hard, plays hard and is awesome. Same for Owens.

The bottome line with TO is that I abhor the way he handled himself in Philly, and even back in SF. His calling out Garcia and calling him gay and all that was just no class. Then he comes to Philly and publically calls out his QB and fans the fire when asked if the team would be better off with another QB at the healm. And the way he used the media over his whole contract thing last year was just downright abobinable.

Such a shame. One of the best receivers to ever play the game IMO, to be such a cancer. I wouldn't take him on any fantasy team of mine. Not because he isn't a stud, but because he can blow up at any time, cause a rift in the locker room and most likey, not play in all 16 games for one or more of those reasons.

What if, in August of 2008, Owens is coming off of back-to-back stellar "choir-boy" seasons with the Cowboys?

Would anyone soften their stance against him?

I like TO. For the most part I think his antics are funny as hell. True, I'm not a 49ers fan or a Philly fan, but it's not like he killed somebody. In SF his problem was with Garcia and Mooch. I can't say TO was in the wrong for bashing those guys on a reg basis; those two clowns have done nothing since TO left. His issue in Philly was due to $$. I didn't like how he dragged Mcnabb into that situation, but for the most part I think he's a damn good football player and just a funny character.

If I hadn't seen him in person and hadn't seen how he treated regular people, I might be willing to change my opinion of him. Let's say he has the 2 "choir-boy" seasons as you say and I only knew about him via the TV, I would definitely change my stance on him. I mean, everyone makes mistakes. However, seeing him in person, he is an egotistical "backside" and nothing he could ever do would change how I feel about him now.
