Curious what people would say was the most applicable statement about the past two weeks against a common opponent looking at each player's performance over 60 minutes of football.

Here were their particular stat lines:

Brady:

299 passing yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 89 passer rating, 2 rushing yards on 2 attempts, 21 points scored by the offense, one loss

Roethlisberger:

133 passing yards, 0 TD, 2 INT, 35.5 passer rating, 21 rushing yards on 11 attempts, 17 points scored by the offense, 2 points given up on a safety, one win

Why no "Roethlisberger didn't play great, but made crucial runs/throws at crucial times, helping Pitt to win?"

Or "Brady played poorly until garbage time (when the outcome was all but assured), thus padding his stats and improving his end of game numbers?"

Just curious, because I feel that both of those statements are true, but neither is offered as an option.

I would thoroughly agree with both of these statements.

Roethlisberger had a better game than Brady and the Steeler D had a much better game than the NE D.
