Joe, if we still had the anonymous confessions thread, you could've made the OP anonymously and not have had to endure the shame of apologizing.  

 
What about dot discussions around our significant others? I mean we can still objectify our own wimmenz, right? Blue and Orange allowed? Missionary only?

The true reason imo is JB life is so good he had nothing else to do.  But as a business owner, I would focus on ranking but they suck no matter who does them.

Even with the hottest threads the FFA is by far the tamest forum out there. I have never posted them myself buy did enjoy looking at them. 

The sub forum is much nastier in terms of the back biting and insults.   

Maybe should have made them a pole with voting only and no comments.  We are going from have a few beers after work and golf with our buddies to coffee and dessert after church.

This is my problem, everything here was PG-13, and we kept it there.  

13 year's old have access to much worse stuff today.

What was great, if you say phoebe cates.  We know the movies.  

But to take sexuality out of life, is bucking god.

 
Why was my Junior Seau “Rodeo Clown” post deleted?

Please be consistent.  If you want to profit off CTE, lay it out there and we know where you stand.  Deleting it answers my question.

Footballguys view: Seau is done being a rodeo clown, and now instead of taking on bulls he will go head to head against offensive linemen. He had wanted to return with 6 games left in the regular season, so he's back a bit sooner than he had anticipated. We'll see if the old man can hold up to the grind of the NFL season at such an advanced age.

In October of 2009, Seau worked a stint as a rodeo clown. From the Book: Junior Seau: The Life and Death of a Football Icon:  

"I noticed he was doing some bull riding or bull stomping or bulls were stomping him or whatever it was," said Belichick. "We'll have to take a look at that workout and see how he was doing that."

"Junior, who had taunted a bull by getting in a three-point stance, was promptly run over during a stop on the Professional Bull Riders Tour. Sure enough, he was back on safer ground that October after signing with the Patriots."

Because you somehow linking Junior Seau's tragic death to not being able to have who's hottest polls is not something we'll have on this board. Please drop it.

Honestly, I just don’t get it. This is a site whose business model is to exploit gamblers, regarding a sport that is based on extreme violence, whose league seems to have a history of hiding health info from players, whose teams all have stables of women they exploit on the sideline every week, with players are routinely caught taking illegal drugs. That is the basis of their cash cow.

Now they have no problem with judging some cheating, illegal drug taking player is now a 3rd rounder instead of a 1st but God forbid we decide if we like the chick in leather or the chick in lace.

Seems hypocritical to me - but whatever helps you sleep at night I guess.

This is the crux of it.  Every time the rules have changed, we've changed with them, even if it was with some apprehension.  This is probably the tamest adult board on the internet, but we've stayed because it's important to us.

And after a day of reflection, I get it.  I understand why the who's hottest threads, albeit a lot of fun, can be interpreted as demeaning/degrading.  Especially with some of the recent ones where the girls looked borderline underage.  But some of these other threads about discussing women that look good at 50?  I don't see the harm.  

Remember the outrage when Joe changed the title of "Best Hooters" to "Beautiful Women"?  We adjusted and moved on, even though it destroyed a great thread. 

But this?  This is totally different.  Making a mandate that you can't discuss women?  It seems crazy.  

Why do I care about this?  I don't know.  It seems childish.  But maybe subconsciously (or even consciously?) I interpret it as a threat to my way of life.  I'm not embarrassed to say this board has been a huge part of my life the past 20 years.  You know what I did last weekend?  I went to the Kentucky Derby with 3 other guys from this board, that I only know THROUGH THIS BOARD.  And two of them got on a plane to be here.  That probably would seem weird or crazy to a lot of people.  But to me it just seems normal.  

I'm still here, because I'm an addict and an attention whore (keep those likes coming).  But if you would have asked me a week ago, I would have said I'd be here until the day I day.  Now, I don't know.  I can't even talk about women? :shrug:

These girls are probably 25.....we are just getting older.

Some thread titles might offend as well.  I mean really, "Winnipeg releases 417 large ladies into the wild, as a gift to nature, for advancing to the WCF" ... while you and I might find this funny, plus size girls from the 'Peg?  Not so much.

I have a good idea. Let's list all the questionable threads so they can all be looked at really closely and see which ones last.

Yea I mean I don’t really care what Joe does. It’s his site, whatever. But running the whole moral high ground angle while he is profiting off of running a gambling information service seems extremely hypocritical to me. He’s a smart guy. I don’t know how he reconciles that.

Is their business that keep a permanent public record of the comments a good place for the stuff that often got posted in those threads?
