Pokemon Go (2 Viewers)

for those of you trying to get past a blissy in a gym, the Ursaring worked really well as did my Typhulsion. however it still took forever for me to level up from 7 to 8 to get a spot....hate those things, the app needs to lower their power.

Here you guys are talking all this new gen and I'm over here excited because I'm one Carp away from 400 candies.

Interesting thing possibly happening today.  The day before I got the King's Rock on my seventh day of stop streaks, I saw a bunch of Pollywags and Slowpokes (which both need the rock to evolve).  I have rarely seen Oddish lately, but have seen a bunch today.  It'll be interesting to see if I get the special item to evolve the Gloom when I stop at a stop (day 7) tomorrow.

First three 7-day stops, my family got a special item.  Next four, nothing.  Have only gotten one otherwise, between all of them.  Obviously not a guarantee on the 7-day spin, but I suspect a greatly increased chance.

The one poke I want more than anything is an Aerodactyl. Friday I am leaving work and walking to my parking garage and this unknown thing appears on my nearby list, but down the street. I am like "no way". I run to my car and go towards it only to get the "Pokemon fled" notification. It was an Aero  :wall:

"Pokemon fled" means nothing.  More often than not, it's simply your phone requerying the Pokemon in the area.  More often than not, the Pokemon is still there.

I only ever seen one in the wild, I raspberry/ultra balled it about 8 times then it ran on me.......UGH

That's the only one from gen 1 I still need (excluding regionals)

Got a Granbull evolved today. about half way to my Feraligatr. Found a Wobboffet nest and got around 6 today.

Have yet to see a Phanpy or Mareep in the wild. I have caught a weak Ampharos though.

Larvitars seem far and few between, My Pupitar is my buddy sitting at about 16 candies, I caught him day one of gen 2

I'm working on a Feraligatr as well. There's a Totodile nest near me and I was able to get about 60 candies worth today. If I go back one more time I think I'll have enough. I already have a Typhlosion so the only starter I'll be missing is the grass one. I got these guys a lot faster than the gen 1 starters.

Larvitars are just very hard to come by I think. I hatched one the other day and got 25 candies. I've never seen one in the wild. I'm not going to walk 500 km with it so I'll need to either get lucky with more hatches or hope for some sort of future event that makes it easier to get candies in order to evolve it.

I've never seen one in the wild, but I've hatched five of them. Getting sick of hatching them given they are 10k eggs.

We finally hatched an Aerodactyl after so many disappointments. (The kids have two accounts.). Still have never seen a Lapras or hatched one yet.

I've completed 2 7-day poke stop streaks since Gen 2 was introduced and still haven't received a special evolution item, either on the day completing the streak or any other day.

Thats about the only good thing I've gotten out of a 10k egg.  1600CP after powering him up a few times.  I feel like my 10k egg luck is horrible.  I'm at LV 28, to date I've only seen 6 Snorlax, 7 Dratini and no 0 Lapras.  Those things are at gyms every where around here.

I do have 4 Aeros though.

Got the upgrade for the Porygon, but its useless to me at the moment.

I did hatch a Smoochum the other day.

How many evolution items have you guys gotten? I haven't gotten any yet despite spinning quite a few stops.
I thought for sure I'd get one today for my 7-day streak but nope. I must be cursed.

Anyone catch one of the party hat pikachus? I haven't seen one yet. They don't seem to be as common as the one wearing the santa hat was.

I got both a Blissey and Feraligatr today. Next up I'll be walking Phanpy until I can evolve it - I've hatched 3 so I don't need much. I'm not sure who I'll walk with after that. I guess I could go with Larvitar but it would take a ridiculously long time until I can fully evolve it.

Still searching for my first evolution item.

Got the Metal coat and evolved the Onix.  It looked like a bigger jump than evolving the scyther.

Finally got a Dratini out of a 10k egg.  Came with about 25 Candies.

It's crazy - I played this constantly for a while and almost filled out the full Gen 1 Pokedex.  Reading the thread now is like reading Greek - I don't know what you guys are talking about.

Same here. This game is made for obsessive compulsive people. When normal people are feeling good about filling our 90% of the pokedex, they need to double the size of the pokedex because the obsessive compulsive people the game caters to are at 99%+ and bored. Now normal people feel like "well ####.... all that work and I haven't even caught half of them.... #### it, I'm out!"

I am still enjoying it. I try and walk a certain amount of steps a day and this just gives me something different to distract me while I do it. My two daughters dig it, so it is pretty mindless fun.

That being said, I need more Gen 2 to spawn. I keep seeing the same things over and over and I do not have a third of my Dex full. With 80 new ones, I want to see some variety here.

I mostly like that it gives me a reason to check out different parks in my area that I'd never visit otherwise. I've been to quite a few different places since I started playing that I had never been to. Also I didn't really know the gen 2 pokemon a few weeks ago but I found I got used to them pretty quickly.

Gives me something to do during my lunch hour.  Plenty of gyms around that have been fun.

Gets my 6 yo out of bed and eager for school.  I used to drag his ### out of bed, but now he plays on the ride in and goes thru his morning routine pretty easily.  Don't judge.

finally hatched a togepi, got my feraligator. almost ready to evolve the slugma. Feels like Sudoowoodo and skarmorys are showing up a lot in the wild.

Still no mareep and only 1 larvitar and 1 pupitar. Yet there are tyranitars in gyms.....

My son is a little under the weather so we probably wont play much with it being under 40 degrees here this weekend.

Sounds like the next update will be to gym battling. not sure what they can do to improve it but I hope that its doesn't make it worse. Hard enough to collect my 100 coins everyday.

The current gym system is terrible. I very rarely battle. I can't dodge consistently due mainly to the connection issues I run into nearly every battle which throws off the timing. Or I'll be training up a gym and someone will come and tear it down faster than I can build it up despite no one else being in the area - obviously a spoofer. Once you finally get through some battles reviving and healing your guys is cumbersome. I was trying to get through enough battles just to get the medals but I've mostly given that up. Overall it just isn't worth the trouble and frustration right now.

The second generation has made it fun. Now they just need to fix the absurd "1 out of 100 chance" to get an evolve required item from a Pokestop!

agree tis frustrating. the cheating in the game is lame. Gett 500 stardust per guy in gym plus the 10 coins per guy though is pretty key in building up your army and buying incubators. I cant see spending actual money for coins

Today was the 3rd time that I completed a 7 day streak since the 2nd generation started and still no special evolution item. Also haven't gotten a 10k egg in a long time. I guess the pokestops I visit must suck.

The secret is to find a gym in a abandoned strip mall that people don't visit. I have one guy that's been in a gym like that for 10 days now. I have another gym that's going on 3 days and then I took down the gym outside today so I collected 30 coins today

got a second metal coat today and got the scythe evolution.

all that is left for me of special evolutions is the Sunkern, and the Slowking.

I agree on the gym take, gyms in heavy traffic areas are bound to get taken down.
