Burgers and beer (with full bar too)[hijack] what kind of restaurant? will it be open by Labor Day weekend? I'll likely be driving to Visalia from LA that Friday and will need a dinner stop. I'd be open to stopping by... especially if it's got a pokestop![]()

Been wasting WAY fewer pokeballs the last couple times I've been out.I think your previous understanding is the correct one, unless they changed something.I've been throwing pokeballs the wrong way for a while now, apparently. Pretty common knowledge that you want to throw the ball when the colored circle is smallest, but I was under the assumption that it only mattered if you actually hit inside that circle. Figured that a successful 'nice' throw would be better than missing a 'great' or 'excellent' throw. Apparently not - a smaller colored circle helps the catch rate regardless.Been wasting WAY fewer pokeballs the last couple times I've been out.
This is no different than integrating Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in every app, electronic, and website.OMG, I was on yelp, and one of the search criteria buttons is [PokeStop Nearby]. WTF?
What's happening??
But to integrate a game that's less than a month old? And a busted game at that. This is no different than integrating Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter in every app, electronic, and website.
Yeah they made all of the pokemon harder to catch.I think your previous understanding is the correct one, unless they changed something.
Sounds like my lunchtime pikachu encounter... except I only cried on the inside. So my son had a tantrum today. We used our first lucky egg and lure. For the first 25 minutes we caught the usual crap pokemon. Then a bulbasaur popped up which we didn't have. He goes nuts. I throw a razz berry down and catch him but he escapes. Throw another ball and he just jets out of there. My son flips out telling me it's my fault, pushing me, crying at the top of his lungs. The little brat is 7. I pulled him out of the park and banned him from playing for the immediate future. The game kind of sucks now anyway.
Can you lean out the window?
I'm sitting in training all week 15 feet away from a pokestop. Been just farming that ##### for three days, 8+ hours per day.
Yeah, I ran into a Charmander this morning - took 1 great ball, 5 ultra balls, and 4 razzberries to catch. Can't imagine what it would be like trying to go after a Charmeleon/Charizard.Those starter Pokemon are hard to catch. My first 247 Pikachu popped up during lunch. I threw a razzberry and hit it on the nose with a great ball. Escaped and ran away.
I would have tipped my waitress nicely had I caught it. :(
Nope. But every so often, the gps will glitch and I can get it.Can you lean out the window?
Bunch of crap really, those shouldn't poof after one catch.Just had a nidoran and crabby run away after one ball catches. Sweet.
But I did get that Jinx. Boston has tons of them apparently.
For sure. Went down to New Orleans with some friends a few weeks ago, this was our "view" from the hotel: http://i.imgur.com/uc9XqyI.pngJust hit Boston. Holy smokes do people living in cities have it made.
The ones with jet packs are very hard to catch, unfortunately. Or you can use the "hey, I am walking towards the wall and keep moving feet while at said wall while moving the phone" trick.Nope. But every so often, the gps will glitch and I can get it.
FING SHEET, MAYNEFor sure. Went down to New Orleans with some friends a few weeks ago, this was our "view" from the hotel: http://i.imgur.com/uc9XqyI.png
There's no reason that should actually work, I don't think the gps is so precise that it actually knows that your feet are moving while you are at your wall. Its not like you can trick it to go out further than your phone reaches, when the gps jumps around a little its just part of the nature of gps--its not perfectly exact at all times.Or you can use the "hey, I am walking towards the wall and keep moving feet while at said wall while moving the phone" trick.
If people actually saw into my office and saw me doing this, I would probably be committed.
You need to practice throwing. I would suggest a couple rounds of cornhole every weekend.Cp99 rat finally snagged on the 15th catch after 14 (yes 14) breakouts. By 10 I was laughing and buddy And GF were counting out loud with me.
You must be going to Pearl Jam at Fenway if you're in Boston this weekend.... I fly out tomorrow AMJust hit Boston. Holy smokes do people living in cities have it made.
Lost out on a jinx I couldn't track down
This is accurateYou need to practice throwing. I would suggest a couple rounds of cornhole every weekend.
when ya in Memphis next?
I wish. Im actually on my way to Seattle right now and then to an alaskan cruise. Left from Boston bc we got free tickets. Too much money in NYYou must be going to Pearl Jam at Fenway if you're in Boston this weekend.... I fly out tomorrow AM![]()

Maybe inch out onto the ledge a little bit?Clayton Gray said:Can you lean out the window?
There's a certain calculus they have to do where they want people to purchase more balls but they don't want too many pokemon escaping to make the game too expensive for casual fans (which I assume is the majority). I thought it worked well before. Now its ridiculous.Yeah, the breakouts are just ridiculous right now. Unless you basically live at a pokestop, the amount of balls you need to catch even the most basic stuff is just unsustainable.
5 breakouts from a caterpie CP 66. I mean come on....
Yeah, after losing out on a Charmander in similar fashion the other day, I had to remind myself that this is just a game.So my son had a tantrum today. We used our first lucky egg and lure. For the first 25 minutes we caught the usual crap pokemon. Then a bulbasaur popped up which we didn't have. He goes nuts. I throw a razz berry down and catch him but he escapes. Can imagine that the runaways are pretty tough on a 7-y.o.Dumb to give her one in the first place, considering they were planning these grand releases of legendaries - but to take it back and give her some lucky eggs and lures in return? JFCNiantic is embarrassing themselves almost daily now.
The last couple of days there was an uproar on social media about someone who had an Articuno. She claimed Niantic gifted it to her but at first they denied it and she got flamed on Reddit, the haters eventually tracked down her identity. It was a total crapstorm. Later they admitted that oops, yes, a Niantic employee did gift her the Articuno, which they took it back. After they found out about all the abuse she was getting they gave her some lucky eggs and lure modules for her trouble.

I have zero faith in the game's ability to accurately track distances. I know the exact mileage of several landmarks near my house for running/walking purposes. PokemonGo never gets them right. Ive seen them as much as 1/2 K off. It's nice out and I figured I'd take my daughter on a bike ride. We went to a park that is 7 miles (11km) away. Left the game open the entire time, to cook a pair of 10km eggs. Unfortunately it registered less than 2km each way. There were a few downhill segments, but I wasn't flying like a bullet or anything, as I was towing her on one of these tandem attachments. For whatever reason, less than 20% of our actual distance counted.
On the bright side, the park we went to is apparently a nest for Pinsirs. I had never encountered one before, yet we stumbled on three of them in the first 10 minutes there.
And with the change in client checkins from every 5s to 10s they essentially killed using bikes and it tracking anything for the eggs.I have zero faith in the game's ability to accurately track distances. I know the exact mileage of several landmarks near my house for running/walking purposes. PokemonGo never gets them right. Ive seen them as much as 1/2 K off.
