Pokemon Go (2 Viewers)

I hatched one from a 5k egg,  and I saw but didn't catch another.  Those  are the only 2 times I've seen a Pikachu

I've only caught one 1000+ cp pokemon and I'm lvl 19. It was an 1100ish magmar. After that though, i think i maybe a 900 scyther.

I did get a Snorlax too, but he was only like 250ish.

Why do you all want Pikachu?  I've caught 23 of them... honestly one of the more common pokemon I encounter.
I've caught 5.  Haven't sold any as I'm hoping that some "trading" feature comes around pretty soon so maybe I can move a ~150CP one to someone for something else I need.

what level are you?

highest ive found was 850
Level 23.  Wife is a level 22 though and her Dragonite was only 730.  When I caught it up it came up as CP ???, so I don't know if when you catch one like that, the CP is somewhat randomly generated.  Before that, the highest ones I've gotten in the wild were a level 1400 Slowbro and a level 1300 Golduck.

I wasn't aware that a poke's attacks can change when evolved. Didn't it use to be that the tie breaker for 2 similar CP poke was whoever had the better attack got evolved?

??? means it's the highest you've seen yet I think

Learned a little bit of a trick.  If you spin 10 pokestops without repeating any, the 10th one will give you doubled the items and double the XP.  Verified this morning, and you can try to capture guys in between stops.

Hmmm...I was wondering why every once in a while you get like 12 items instead of the usual 3 or 4. Makes sense, thanks!

Dratini popped up as the top thing on the radar when I got to the parking lot this morning.

5 pokemon pop up on my walk to my desk. 3 weedles, an odish and a Nidoran :kicksrock:

had  a snorlax on my radar when leaving the house this morning. drove around the block couldn't find that ####er

This was posted a couple pages back.

There is a small catch, you cannot let 10 minutes elapse between stops.  Also, apparently there is a 10-minute cooldown before you can do it again.

FWIW, I believe you can even have repeats - repeats won't count toward the 10 stops, but they don't break the chain either.  For example, A B C D E F A B G H I J still will get you the double items on stop J  (assuming no more than 10 minutes elapses between F and G)

I was reading you can leave an egg in a gym & it cannot be defeated. don't know if that would make the gym stronger or what

Yeah, you can't do it.  When you go to select what you want to put in the gym, you can swipe to your egg screen, but none of them are there.  You have to pick a "creature".

do you have to heal your pokemon if training at your gym?

also there is a couple gyms in my neibhorhood, both are my team. they are full ATM but is there a way I can knock off one of the lower people and take his spot

If they get hurt, yes.

No, the only thing you can do is fight/train your guys and "level up" the gym, which allows for another one to be placed there.  You don't kick them out, you level up and put yours in there as well.

My kids finally caught peekachu and you would of thought that they found a million dollar
I wonder if they lowered the run rate on pikachu? For the sake of our phones.

Egg Hatch Distribution

Eevee seems about right on 10k eggs from my experience. Sucks to see such a high occurrence of a common pokemon from a rare egg
I got a 696cp Hitmonlee from my 10k this afternoon. It was a new poke for me so that was cool but I also got a hitmonchan a while back it's not an exciting pokemon for me. I was hoping for a beefy Lapras or aerodactyl.

The problem with very rare pokemon is that you quickly run out of candies so they become impossible to power up. Even if you get something elite you need to somehow find more in order to power it up.

Yeah, i caught a weak Snorlax (250ish cp) but can't level him up. Kinda sucks.

I haven't gotten a 10k egg in a week or so.   Weird
Am over 100km walked and still no 10k for me.  Looking at the egg hatch distribution they need to remove the rattata, and pidgey from eggs altogether.  Ridiculous that you catch them all day and then that moment of excitement comes when you hatch the egg and it's another ####### rattata.

It's surprising you haven't had any 10k eggs yet.  I would say the number of eggs you have hatched is more relevant than your distance walked though.  How many eggs have you hatched?

For reference, I have had 14 out of 168 (exactly 1 in 12).

you cant get a dragonite from a 10k egg? wth

how am  I supposed to get this mother####er
In 1200+ encounters I have yet to see a Charmander or Dratini in the wild, let alone the evolved forms.  So I assume my route to both a Dragonite and a Charizard will be through eggs.  Frankly I think the Charizard will take longer.

2k eggs are more common to get, but they produce only 6-10 candy.

10k eggs come less frequently, but they give you 16-32 candy.  With luck, you can to a dragonite by hatching just 5 dratini.

This is why they need to rethink how the Pokemon are distributed. Regional Pokemon need to go away as well as the bias towards bigger cities.

You keeping track of that, or is the game?
