Portis Questionable (1 Viewer)

Could there have been a worse possible week for him to be ill? Playoffs on the line this week. He has to play if at all possible.

Portis/Betts = bench vs. Viking run D anyway
Fantasy Championships for most this week. If you have Portis, he's likely your RB2. And just as likely as you have no better options than what Portis can bring to the table at that slot.Dude is averaging 72 YPG, about 20 RECYPG, and 12.5 FPPG in standard scorinig leagues. That he's sick and not dinged up is a good glass-half-full scenario -- regardless of what rush D he faces this weekend, I'll take a solid 75 off 18 carries, 20 off of 4 receptions performance this week to help keep me in the hunt for the trophy.

O'rly? For my final flex spot you think I should start CJ2, S. Moss, Selvin Young, Curry, or Chestor Taylor over Portis? I think I'll pass and stick with Portis. While it's obviously a tough matchup, most Portis owners in flex leagues don't have a better option on the bench. In fact, the only common situation I could see people sitting Portis is in 2 start RB leagues where they drafted someone like ADP or Fred Taylor as their RB3, or picked up a guy like Ryan Grant during the season.

The Redskins are playing inspired football right now in a fight for their playoff lives. That D is stout but who do you think they're going to rely upon to carry that offense, Collins or Portis?

I can see Portis being a factor in the passing game as he was against Chicago. The Bears were playing heavy against the run and the Skins were able to have success with Portis screens.

One big screen went for 54 yards (with several missed tackles). Otherwise he was 5 catches for 25yrds. I am starting Portis bc I can't raise myself to bench him for Maroney, but not looking for much. Hopefully another game with a short TD (or 2?!).

If Rudi is ruled out...Im considering Watson over Portis.
Rudy is out and I put Watson in place of Portis in my champioship game. Probably outthinking myself again. All i can think of is Watson getting 2 short TD's earlier in the year. Hoping for the same.

Kid Bro Sweets just threw a TD pass to Randel El.

Thank you Portis for coming up big yesterday against what appeared to be a tough matchup.

I wish I would have trusted Portis over Kevin Freakin Jones or Kolby Smith (though, Id still be losing pretty bad).Nice game from the guy though...its nice to see what he does when Gibbs realizes he is their best player and does not try getting Betts into it as much.

Sure am glad I held onto him in my dynasty leagues this past offseason... I saw quite a few people selling him for way below value. Always feels good to get one right in a long sea of misses.
