Post-draft trades (1 Viewer)

If it wasn't clear before, it certainly is now; the top 3 picks are a lot more valuable than the rest of the draft. (Maybe it's just a perception, but I'm guessing most people agree)

So, what trades have you seen involving any of the top 3 picks, since the draft?

Proposed to me and I am considering: Pierre Thomas, Michael Crabtree and 1.08 for 1.02

Proposed to me and I accepted: I send #5, #24 and #37 for #3 and some late picks.

I actually feel the only elite players, given the dynamic of where players landed, are AJ Green and Julio Jones. Ingram, imo, is now at the top of the second tier, as he looks to be in a full blown RBBC situation.

I also feel that many other talented RBs, such as R. Williams, M. LeShoure, and others landed in poor situations. At this point, the strength of this rookie crop lies in the WR corps. Bump guys like Hankerson and Little, as they are in situations to play right away.

To me, this draft had three premium picks going into this weekend, but now stands at two. On the flip side, the middle of the first round picks actually have a little more value, as some talented WRs landed in spots were they can contribute right away.

The Saints traded up to get Ingram, that indicates to me that he'll have a chance to get the majority of the carries early. Thomas and Ivory will be factors, but no more than most teams #2 or 3. ETA: this thread is intended to discuss the values of the picks, by showing what has been the going rate. There are other threads already discussing the various players.

I may be in the minority, but I don't love Ingram. Solid, but not spectacular talent.

I'm lucky enough to have 1.1 in a dynasty league. I was taking AJ before the NFL draft and nothing has changed that.

I think the value of pick 1.03 has taken a hit, however, picks like 1.07, 1.08, and 1.09 have gained value as they don't represent much difference between 1.04 through 1.06

For those looking to deal, I'd suggest moving into slots 1.07-1.09, as they will cost less but the talent drop from 1.04-1.06 is not nearly as high as the cost required to deal into those slots.

Sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong about the 1.3. That pick has more value than any pick, especially in PPR. Being guaranteed one of Green, Jones, or Ingram makes that pick very valuable. The 1.4 and 1.5 have taken the biggest hit.

I don't agree with this part of your statement at all. I think 1.4 and 1.5 are more valuable in and of themselves than before the NFL draft. With the situations that some have ended up in, one can land a talented player in an excellent situation with those picks.

Ryan Williams and Mikel Leshoure are the two best players after the big 3 and both landed in less than ideal situations. How can that not mean the 1.4 and 1.5 takes a hit? I personally don't think Daniel Thomas is a 1.4 worthy talent but a lot of dynasty drafters will think that he is. All the better for me if I have the 1.6 or 1.7.

Completely agree with Hoss. Not much difference between 1.04 and 1.08 after seeing where guys landed.

Guys that have improved their position for are Leshoure, T. Young and Thomas. I really like where all 3 of these guys ended up. Still, the drop from 1.03 to 1.04 is pretty drastic. I'd feel better about having the 1.04 pick today than I would have before the draft started but that doesn't change the fact that there are 3 elite talents in this group. They are Green, Ingram and Jones.
