No Flowers? He seems to be going as WR4, after JSN, Addison and QJ, and I am wondering why. He can be legit WR1 for ravens this year, and with new OC there and the highest paid qb, they better be passing a lot more. Does anyone like him more than the WR4 in this draft, or is it just me?
He went at the 2.3.

Incredible value for a WR drafted in round 1 of the NFL draft.

Easier said that done, but the easiest trap to fall into is drafting guys you won't be able to do anything with this time next year, or the next. Of course dynasty is a marathon, not a sprint, but some guys end up on the end of your bench that you cringe to look at. If a player is more likely than not to be a roster clogger you're better off adding something to a late round pick for a future pick bump. I think this is especially true with WRs and TEs. RBs is a different story. While they also can be roster cloggers, they can ascend quickly due to injury.

Updated mine through 3 rounds. 16 team PPR IDP TE-P

Crazy runs on WR & TE - enough that it forced me to deal for 4.03 to get in on the IDP value falling. Ended up making 2 trades to capitalize.

Man these drafts are all over the place. Excellent
Mine was so crazy for WRs & TEs I dealt into the 4.03 to get a stud DE.

here are my picks for S’s & G’s

16 team SF IDP PPR TE-P, start 2 TE, IDP “performance scoring”. (Big play = big points)

Spent most of my 2023 capital in various deals for players. Only had 3 picks going into the draft (a 6th & 2x 7ths)
Traded Mooney for 4.03 & 5.15

Traded 2024 5th & 6th for 2023 6.02 & 7.02 I expect my picks to be in the 10-16 range, so I likely only lost a few spots on each, and get them a year earlier.

4.03 - Felix Anudike-Uzomah - if he wasn’t on the board I would have kept Mooney as my WR6. But I had FA-U as a top 8 overall IDP prospect in this draft, who will have a chance to start right away.

5.12 - BJ Ojari - another DE I like in a defense with mediocre defensive ends, who should get a ton of work his rookie season as a hybrid Edge/LB

5.15 - Jake Moody - mandatory K spot, and my K were Maher, Gonzalez, and York, who was less than awesome. Of all my picks this will immediately add points to my lineup, assuming he’s as good as advertised.

6.02 - Jj’Ayir Brown - back to back Niners wasn’t the plan, but I needed S depth, and I agree with the Bob Sanders comps. Plus the 49ers have Gipson (33) on a 1-year deal, and Brown can play all of the safety spots. I think he has a chance to contribute year 1.

6.08 - Puka Nacua - I like his chances of beating out the completely mediocre bunch of receivers the Rams have tried to make happen across from Kupp. Late enough it doesn’t bother me if he doesn’t.

6.12 - Nick Hertbig - needed to take a shot at some LB depth.

7.02 - Elijah Higgins - JuJohnson-type sleeper. Converted basketball player, converted WR to TE. McDaniel talked him up quite a bit. Gesecki gone, and all 3 of their TEs are blockers. In TE-P he’s worth the gamble on my taxi squad.

Man - There’s so much IDP value left that I’m gonna be very busy spending FAAB out of the gate.

One advantage to clearing roster spots is I have like 8 dead weight guys I can drop without a care while other teams are scrambling to decide which roster cloggers to keep.

Yeah. He just kept falling. I know he has the capital and is well-thought-of in NFL circles so he has a place higher than that but 2.3 is good value and the manager had to be happy picking there. I had the 2.6 and no way he was falling there.

Can you tell me where Mingo and Tillman went?

Not normal in my league, but has still happened. Only guys with elite QB's ever seem to get close to winning it though, so anyone without one always feels like they might need to gamble.

Drafts are all over the place too, so I would not assume too much.

Once you get past like, 6th, there's like 12 guys I can make arguments for.

I'm scoping 2nd rounders in this draft, cause I like some bodies i am seeing at 20+ that I like better than 12
ARich just went at 1.4 in my 1QB FFPC TEP league. I’m not taking a rookie QB at all in the first 2 rounds of my 1QB FFPC drafts since I have Allen in one and Herbert in the other.

Seems like one quarterback at least every year goes in the late first round of 1QB leagues and every so often one goes much higher. A. Rich seems to be that guy this year. I think people see another Jalen Hurts and I guess if you think he is that then by all means you might want to consider him early if you need a quarterback even in 1QB leagues.

I kinda get it. The rushing upside is there & not everyone believes in the players after Bijan, Gibbs, JSN

QBs being worthless in 1 QB leagues is super overhyped - they’re still valuable, and especially the rushing upside QBs.

2 years from now this might look like a bargain for ARich. It might not, but it might.

If memory serves I took Luck with the 1.04 and Burrow with the 1.10. No regrets.

Competing against other owners parked on Peyton Manning for a decade left a mark.

3.10 Tank Dell

Draft started Monday
A 7th round RB over a WR taken in the top 50? That’s a bold choice.

Added a 4th draft to the OP - 14 Team Devy League PPR (1 pt for WR, 0.75 pt RB, 1.25 pt TE), start 9 (1QB, 2-3 RB, 3-4 WR, 1-2 TE, DEF, QB (6 pt for TD, -1 for int). Rookie draft is separate from Devy Draft.

.....in progress
