Post your week one over-reactions. (1 Viewer)

After Week one I was still victorious, but highly disappointed by several of my players. My saving grace was Arian Foster. He brings light to my would-be week one disaster.

So.... Over this past week I dropped Robert Meachem because the fantasy roulette called NO-WR, and Greg Olsen from the team you thought couldn't look worse than they did last year. Picked up Mark Clayton, and Mike Williams (TB), starting mike this week. I also traded away Shonn Greene for Wes Welker. I have a pathetic receiving group based on one week, and was desperate. I sold the buy low to buy a sell high, hahaha, and the offer came from me.

Does anyone else have similar over-reactions after just one week?

An owner in my dynasty league, the reigning champ actually, just cut the 49ers Defense. I scooped them. :goodposting:
Right now I can see the cast of "The League" falling over each other trying to make it to a puter to be the first one to grab the drop.

I was on the reverse end of a situation like this in my work/money league. Bragging rights are almost as important as the money on the line. Andre johnson owner(a good friend of mine who according to himself knows the everything about fantasy football and should have been crowned after the draft) had a horrid week and desperately needed a RB. i had ADP/A. Foster/A. Bradshaw and Brandon Jackson(who i had just found out would be starting for possibly the rest of the year) I traded him Bradshaw, santana moss and johnny knox for Andre, Mike Wallace(who i think blows back up when ben gets back) and a throw in of chester taylor since we have set roster positions. He came at me with the trade. I just added knox on to see if i could snag wallace too and he bit.

love it. Planning on trying to do it again week 2 if brees or rodgers has another mediocre week. both teams are 0-1 and one is what would be refered to as a "guppie" and may hit the panic button as well

Dropped Bears defense for Atlanta's. Over the next 13 games, I like the Atlanta defense in 10 of those match-ups. With Stafford hurt, I dropped Huggins for Freeman.

I most certainly don't feel as bad about my blunder.

you shouldn't. i like both waiver moves to improve your team and the trade isn't horrible. welker should be a beast this year and if your league is PPR, an even bigger beast. Greene had a tough night, but with an LT sighting doing what greene couldn't, it may be more of a split in the jets backfield than anticipated. one thing is for sure though, they are going to run the ball.

the best part is, the guy who i got johnson from bet me 10 bucks that andre wouldn't have more than 10 points this week, which i quickly accepted.

I'm waiting on meachem to explode to sell him and try to get a better WR that had a bad week. Picked off Fitz off an owner that was probably disappointed with his performance otherwise he wouldn't have sold him. I love the first couple weeks, best time to make a deal as long as you do your homework and the other guy doesnt.

I would never buy Greene for value at this point. LT turned it into a split backfield but not on his own, Greene fumbled and dropped the way here. I still drafted him for a reason, and all the time spent preparing for the draft undone after one week against Baltimore. I'm not unhappy with the move, I think it is funny how one week on the field can change your opinion based on research and previous, multiple, performances. That's why I thought this might be a fun thread. See how others let their opinions dramatically change after four quarters on a Sunday, or Monday, and sometimes Thursday and Saturday.

Crabtree is benches now on every league I own him. Mike Williams bucs has taken his spot in most. Will have to pick between bowe and crab in one andeaning bowe even though he was just as bad.
