It sounds blike many of these vape health issues could be coming from bad thc vape carts.  At this point they should regulate it and let the fda check these things out.  It's like the wild west out there now.

Just like with alcohol, it's best to stay away from bootleg products.  I'd rather pay a bit more for quality.

Tried pot for the first time this month at age 44, thought I would share for those considering a first time experience.

Started with 5mg edible. A nice calm but not much else. 

Tried 10mg next. A good buzz like the early stages of being drunk, and it lasted a few hours so that was nice. Didn’t feel high though. Or at least what I was expecting to feel like. I do drink a lot so maybe my body is used to being buzzed. 

The next weekend I took 5mg edible and smoked as well.  Now we are talking. I wasn’t flying, but definitely a nice buzz better than booze.

I can see taking 10mg a few weekdays as being a good alternative to crushing a bunch of beer.  Will definitely be looking to smoke when I want more of a buzz.

Yeah in States where it’s legal, there are known brands that have a good reputation and are of high quality. Talk to the store clerk for recommendations. Don’t get cheap.

How do you balance medical MJ with a job that does random testing?

I had a job with "random testing" but you would get an email telling you to go to a lab within 24hrs.  I would then go buy some quick fix synthetic urine at the head shop, and pass the screening.  I probably have successfully used the stuff a few dozen times.

If the company has random on site test you need to keep a bottle near you at all times.  Taping it to the back of your computer to keep it warm isn't a bad idea and better than carrying it on you.

I have a buddy in HR who had to fire a guy for failing a screening.  The sample not only had mj in it but it wasn't the right temperature.  So, the moron probably bought piss from someone that wasn't clean and was carryr it around everyday at work. LMFAO

If someone comes to your home and asks you to sign for said package, claim stupidity and that you didn't order it.  The only way for them to show ownership is if you sign or open it.  Just take the loss and move on.   Edibles/Concentrates are a much higher charge in some states so proceed with caution.   If I get something sent to me, I always use a different name and will let the package sit a few days before I open it.

As many of us have said, don't buy the generics or bootleg stuff.  Ask what brands your contact has available and google them.  Stiiizy and Kurvana have been my go tos lately.

Vaping flower or the liquid?  I assume you mean the liquid.   The only harmful effect of vaping flower should be just what's inherently harmful about mj regardless of means of consumption.  Besides tinctures, that's the only way I consume mj.

I had some black market Juul carts and I gotta say they tasted funky.....not saying they were tainted but I def noticed the difference before hearing about the outbreak - I stopped using as it was hitting way to harsh and wasnt worth it.....

Until my state goes legal so can be sure ill be sticking to flower.....I love vaping it - have a Mighty which worked awesome for a yr....started losing vape clouds....finally cleaned it out good using the vids online and it is hitting much better....vaping IMO is smoother, easier, quicker, better on my lungs, convenient with much less smell/mess....

I am a fan of Harlequin made by Pura. I am assuming its a legit company. I have not had any issues. I have also used Airopro with no issues.

It all depends on the state.  NV just over-turned testing for THC and several other states like OR are in the process.  I don't know what you can do until something like this changes at the state level.

Mass just temporarily banned vapes for 4 months.

Vape sales are down across the board.  This is up the retailers to purchase product from producers and processors who are transparent with their process and their ingredients.

I never had that experience at any dispensary.   It's fascinating for me to see all the crazy stuff available nowadays and most stores are very friendly as most stoners are.  If she's older, I can see all the options being a bit overwhelming and maybe a younger staff not having patience to describe the basics but that's about it.  Have fun and enjoy the process.

Biggest difference to me is how fast the smoke is vs edibles. But edibles seem to last a lot longer and if you get consistent product, you will know what you are getting into and how long it takes to hit you.

Reporting.

Got my medical card Friday.    Went to the nearest dispensary to my house.  A guy greeted myself and my wife at the door.  Very nice young guy who walked us through the entire process of edible, smokable, and the assortment of smoking apparatus they sell.   

Settled on edibles.  25mg THC, 5mg CBD.   Wife took a half of an edible.   We went to a movie  Gemini.   We arrived at 615pm.  My wife ingested the edible at 545pm.  By the time the movie started my wife was totally relaxed and had the giggles.   We ordered food and drinks.  She got the munchies.  And more giggles.  Fell asleep during the movie.  Woke up and started giggling and eating popcorn again.    We get home and she is starting sentences but never finished them.  We go to bed.  She gets up to get a drink and more giggles.  She told me this am that her "high" left around 4am.     

Glad she didn't take the entire edible.   But overall was a very pleasant experience for a first time.
