Pot smokers (2 Viewers)

Hmmm, that would sort of weird me out.  I didn't know my guy when I first met with him, but I had been referred by someone in the FFA so he must have known I was supercool. :nerd:
My guy likes me to hang out so the traffic in and out of his place isn't such an issue. I've known and been buying from him for years. We have mutual interests like video games and football so it's easy to hang and chat for 30 minutes or so. I guess I have been buying from him for 6-7 years now.

Yup, fully agree. And the opposite as well. I'm a pretty reserved, by the book kinda guy and it helps me push creative boundaries that I normally wouldn't. Not that I even act on them while high but it points me in certain directions for when I'm sober. And no, they're not all winners! lol
I've been told I am even more like myself when I am high. Like I am even more intensely who I am normally. Never been sure how to take that exactly. I guess it's good.

Is he like James Franco from Pineapple Express?

:lmao:

Must see, NCCommish

"Wanna like watch some 227 and *(($# ?"
Never asked me to watch a show. However I did wait around one day while he finished an online Madden game. Made a nice comeback to get up by one touchdown with about a minute left. Other guy logged off instead of finishing the game.

Oregon still only sells the 'flower' now, but edibles and other derivatives of marijuana are soon coming for more than just those carrying their medical card.  I've made only two purchases so far and it's quite a world we live in now.  Show an ID, go behind another door and there awaiting you is a friendly stoner who will guide you and let you smell everything before you purchase.  Funny names like "Jilly Bean", "Blackberry Soda" and "Girl Scout Cookie".  I'm an old school guy who grew up buying Brown Frown from Texas.  I never really got into the strains and names.  If it did its job, I liked it.  But I'll admit, it's kind of fun to openly shop for it and talk about it with somebody who isn't in a hurry to close a deal.

Thanks Obama!

So I went for it tonight and bought an eighth.  Surprisingly after the money for bag transaction things were very easy and calm for me.  However, this is some funky stuff.  Is there a preferred method to transport this stuff? Mason Jar?  My entire 1st floor of my house, let alone my sedan smelt like a skunk.

Halp please!

Next question. I don't want smoke or weed smell in my place.  Does anyone here Vape and can you recommend what to look for when I go into the vape place tomorrow?

first week on the job.   finally got to visit one our clients today at a dispensary and see all of the behind the scenes activities, stock room and process from receiving product and then moving it through the operation to final sale.

####### crazy!   I love this job!

Are employers in states like CO, WA, and OR still conducting employee drug tests? I'm curious to know how that's being handled.

Thanks man. There are a few vape stores in my area. If I get there and they don't have this, what does one ask for?  a herbal/dry" vape?  Trying to not look like a complete custie tomorrow.

Yeah, pretty much...I believe you're looking for a flower/dry herb vape

I'd look into an N Pen oil vape type, too. Pretty much odor free, more concealable and you just buy disposable cartridges for it.

Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont are all up against entrenched opposition in the upper reaches of state government and it is a slow grind for proponents. The Vermont bill was recently tabled for at least a year because the House was strongly opposed (Senate and Governor were in favor).

Still, when one breaks through, they'll all break through. You can't risk letting a neighboring state be the only legal outlet on the East Coast and scarfing up all those sweet tax revenues for themselves.

BTW, I've had some surprising technical issues (battery related) with the Crafty.  They've been great with service but the same issue (overheat then won't turn on) has happened 3 times now. Just not acceptable for a 300+ dollar unit.

I recently found a much less expensive alternative that's served me well for the week i've owned it.  The "Status" by "The Kind Pen" - it lists for anywhere from 140-160 online, but was priced $135 locally and they took 10% off.  Unlike the Pax its a true herbal vape in that it does not burn the herbs but truly vapes them.  Super portable and a good user interface.  Will see how long it lasts but so far so good and it has a LIFETIME warranty.

Snoop's line of edibles are some of the best I've tried.  They taste fantastic and provide really great high.
How are things going in the state in general? I keep reading stories with all kinds of conflicting information and I want to believe it's just the prohibitionists talking out of their buttocks. But if a local tells me it's all turning to manure, I need to know that.

Marijuana use for adults is up yet down for teenagers according to polls and surveys I've read in the past year.

Edibles started out ok but the taste wasn't the greatest at first for companies that weren't already in the market.  Now edibles are getting really tasty without a strong marijuana taste.  Like I said, Snoop's chocolate edibles are delicious.

It feels like there has been a boost in tourists coming for pot but I don't have any hard facts on that.  Just seems like it when I'm walking about downtown.

The industry in general is very strong.  The strains that you can get recreationally are potent and varied.  The shop that I go to mostly has a few that are always available and others that find the counter from time to time.  I think its been a complete positive for Denver and Colorado.  Its a vibrant industry that is getting better and better at its craft.

Is an increase in use bringing about the dire consequences that legalization opponents keep warning about? It doesn't appear that usage has doubled or anything crazy like that. It just seems like what we've known all along, that it's another gentle inebriant that some people prefer instead of/in addition to alcohol.

Not even close.  Usage climbed a few percent as people predicted but nothing staggering.  Just adults that probably didn't go the black market route while it was illegal or people that were just generally interested in the experience.

A few weeks back, I was in the shop with two 50+ year old women.  They wanted to understand more about what they were buying, how to smoke, what edibles were, the whole shebang. They were actively engaged in the discussion and just wanted to try pot.  It was fun to see and I was wildly entertained.  They got an eighth of something and a couple different types of edibles and I heard one of them say, "Well, let's go grab some snacks and turn on Netflix."  They had their plan and I hope they enjoyed getting high on their couch.  My feeling is that people like this make up most, if not all, of the increase in usage.

There hasn't been dire consequences other than it feels like the homeless population has increased a bit more rapidly, especially in the 20's age group.  Every 7-11 downtown has some kids posted up with a crap sign about wanting money so they can get weed.  That I hate because homelessness in Denver was bad enough before the law with people asking for handouts.  But, I could be wrong.  It's just how it feels to me.  Other than that, the worst consequence we've seen is taking in more tax revenue from pot than was expected.  Sounds like one of those good problems to me.

My mother was recently diagnosed with a disease that's essentially crippling her and it's very painful.  She's not allowed to use Ibuprofen to help and is on heavy duty pain killers, which she hates.  Because she lives in a state that has legalized marijuana and because her doctor told her she should try it to see if it helped, she's considering edibles to help cope with the pain.  This a woman who has been a church elder for decades, votes republican and used to harp on me for years about smoking weed.  If we weren't seeing a sea change on marijuana, I would be my mother wouldn't even consider it.  But because we are, she is ready to experiment and for that, I am so thankful.  I don't want the rest of her life to be spent like this, so I'm hoping like hell there are some edibles to help her.

Next we need the Feds to unlock the restrictions major banks have on accepting weed money.  Currently, there is just one credit union that will work with the Oregon dispensaries and they are very strict as well as expensive.  Hopefully changes are coming because this is big business here.  Oregon sales have been astounding and once edibles are released to the public later this month, I expect sales to explode here.

Through my recent health struggles, marijuana has been exceptionally helpful. I was on very high doses of mixed painkillers (percocets AND fentanyl).  Even then I just like ####, and then had terrible sweats and had lost 50 lbs with little to no appetite.

early on the weed helped me just survive and get by , but as I got better I could ween off the large doses of narcotics and instead balance that with marijuana. The result was no problem going cold turkey on percs after months of heavy use, which was definitely a concern of mine going in.

Good posting.  Supposedly more independent banks are opening up accounts for cannabis-related businesses but it is slow.   The one bank you mentioned here in Oregon will only open accounts for dispensaries and not growers or processors.

Our CEO is one of the leaders helping cannabis businesses get bank accounts across the country.   I'm heading to the big MJ conference in Orlando this week, it will e interesting to hear and find out what's happening next.

Safer than alcohol, frankly it's not even close with vaping or better yet edibles.

I'll jump in here for a minute. Was a big time smoker in college, cooled off for a dozen years while starting out/having kids. Kids more self-sufficient, so dusted off my bowl, then bought a vape. Got a Pax 2, which was/is great. My wife (a former smoker too) likes the Pax as it is simple and unassuming. I fine grind mine, which vapes beautifully, less smell (I usually do it in the bathroom with a quick spritz after use) but leaves me with a few choices going forward. I have a supply of Pax screens, which seem to really restrict flow after a short while. Then I bought a stainless steel after market screen. While flow is much better, it doesn't actually screen out the fine grind very well, so I am still searching for my unicorn screen. Next buy is probably a slightly larger Crafty (Pax vs. Crafty) for regular personal indoor use, though I like the small size of the Pax for camping/hiking/taking the dog for a walk.

Also, be sure to save that already been vaped (ABV) for later use. I got some size 0 caps, did a warm/freeze cycle with ABV and coconut oil (and a crockpot dish), filled the caps and had some easy edibles that were dosed in a consistent manner. I toast my vape pretty well (past "burnt popcorn") but a single cap is a good low-key operational level (while two is too much for me to operate).

Enjoy however you roll bromigos! Just spent half a week with a former roommate and his wife (with young kid) who still smoke a tobacco/wacky mix in self-rolled joints, so that was fun after not smoking for a long while.

Also using a Pax 2.  Loving it so far. Easy to deal with it

Have my apt Tuesday for my card. Can't wait.

Got all my strains and everything picked out, and vaporizer on lockdown for less than half the cost, w med coverage.

gonna be good.

I can't recommend this show to the regular FFA crowd but I bet some of you guys might appreciate it. Eat some gummies, smoke a bowl, burn a doob, make some nachos, crack open a can of America, and enjoy this 22 minutes of nonsense:

Bordertown (from the guys who made Family Guy):

Border Patrol Agent Bud Buckwald is a married father of three living near Mexico, and he feels vaguely threatened by ethnic changes taking place in his neighborhood. His next-door neighbor, Ernesto Gonzalez, is an ambitious patriarch who is doing better than Bud despite having been in the United State for less than a decade -- which is a sore spot for Bud. As the paths of the two families begin to cross, they soon become bound together by a romance and, eventually, a friendship that span the cultural divide.

Also airs Sundays on Fox. Surprisingly it was not renewed for a second season.

Lots of :lmao:  and   and

Anyone use medicinal for back/sciatic pain? If so, what strain gives you the most relief?

Mine is destroyed from a highway car crash years back, and its completely crapping on my quality of life and sleep.

Thanks dudes.

1. Any good quality Indica-dominant strain.

2. Edibles vs. smoking for a nice long-lasting body high and maximum pain relief and help with sleep.

Ya, I'm definitely going to be leaning indica and cbd specific strains.

This is my prescribed company, if you wanna have a look @McGarnicle - the "streetnames" are all next to their nicknames, if you recognize any that you've had experience with, let a brother know My Provider

eta: Im absolutely gonna grab a bottle of the 10:1 oils. But I personally find MORE relief when I smoke.. but it definitely doesnt last as long
