Awesome. Will work to perfect but cooked for about 5 minutes total and honestly probably a little thicker than a true smash burger but not thick at all. Nice sear on both sides and easy to crisp up the bun (I used an English muffin). I used blue cheese slices and they melted nicely.Smashburgers are the thing. You neanderthals are living in the olden times.
Make a ball with your ground beef. Put them on a griddle on your cooktop of choice. I use my grill with a cast iron skillet on top.
After it cooks for a minute drop some onions on top of that ball and smash it thin. Season. Flip once and then cream your pants.
Best burger ever. I’ll never go back to a regular old burger.
I may be doing this a lot for quick lunches. I didn’t use my cast iron pan, just a washable flat grill pan. Thick like cast iron, just way more surface area (big grill).
