*** Priest Holmes Information *** (1 Viewer)

Full of Something .... Looks like sally is on the rag and sensetive about his report on the situation. No one is saying that you are lying Sally ... only that the ccredibility of your source and the information is questionable. So he tells some chick on the sideline that he goes numb? and he is scared? To someone asking for his autograph? (doesn't anyone else think that this is strange?)
you are being a jerk, and the only thing strange about the scenerio you just described is that Syx never said it happened like that, you just made it up...that's strange.

I honestly don't get this board anymore....wtf is with all the bashing. Calling the guy sally....talking about kicking him in the nads. What a bunch of punks. Syx, thanks for the information.
:goodposting: Agreed, posts like his are the exact reason I visit this board frequently.

I don't doubt this claim. Last year when Priest got hurt the FO tried to keep it down, but it "leaked out" anyway (the extent of the injury). This could possibly be happening again.

If this is true it's not surprising.
:goodposting: But in the event this guy is FOS, I think he deserves several hard kicks to the gritsack.
What's an FOS?I am a 40 yr old married guy with 2 great boys.

I have a nice life.

I have no need to post BS on the internet.

If it turns out to be nothing, then I will actually be happy, because I like Priest.

And somehow the mass media dosent have this info?

Not saying its a lie ... but maybe it was taken out of context, misintrepreted, or PH was trying to get some sympathy and lure this woman into the hot tub for a "massage"

You never know!!!
Why are you being such an ####?

This is the first time I recall looking at a member number in order to gauge credibility. Now Syx is no three-digiter, but he ain't a fiver either. Thanks for the info Syx. Right or wrong, I believe you are operating with good intention.

Which agent? I happen to personally know his agent that handles his commericals and appearances. I know this guy through my girlfriend though, so I'm typically not inclined to pester him about stuff like this.Anyway, just wondering if its the same guy.

Name's not Sally and I really don't give a crap what you think. The source is not "some chick, but the right hand "woman" to Priest's agent.

She is the one that all of his clients call when they need something (No not that!)

As for the autograph, it was for my kids and I didn't ask for it, she just got it for them.

All I know is that I have gotten a lot of info from this board and I am just passing something along which is potentially helpful.

You don't like my info, fine, ignore it. Maybe you are right.
Like I said earlier, I BELIEVE YOU. However, you do see where many of us would be skeptical and others hope you're dead wrong because they own Priest. Not trying to a bigger jerk than usual, but I traded Priest away last week, held on to LJ, and after much thought think its time Priest start looking towards life after football.

Which agent? I happen to personally know his agent that handles his commericals and appearances. I know this guy through my girlfriend though, so I'm typically not inclined to pester him about stuff like this.

Anyway, just wondering if its the same guy.
I don't remember his name off hand, but he is based in Atlanta, same guy who handles Ronnie Brown and another 1st rd pick (cant remember who.) Also has Kendrell Bell.

The guy I know is based in Annapolis, MD, so its not the same guy. I wonder how many agents these guys have? Probably at least 2, maybe 3.

we saw it last year with JJ and 2 years ago with Gannon, and in both cases, the inside info was on target.I'm inclined to believe, but as with any rumor, you don't take it as gospel. Thanks for the great info Syx, and ignore some of the parents' basement dwelling punks on the board, some of the junk they come up with doesn't even merit a response.

So now everyone is sensetive .... sheesh And you girls have never seen or used :sarcasm: before? I have seen every single one of take a sarcastic tone on here.Ya know what ... you can deal with it ... or not and compalin about it - dosent matter to me! If you cant see the point I was trying to make with a little humor (and calling him sally as I have some fun with the thread that was here the other day where someone got their panties in a twist because we refer to people, players and members with female names) then skip over my post and read on. A good indication was the .... "priest is trying to get some chick in the, hot tub" comment! And seriously .... dosent anyone think it is strange that the media doesn't have any info on this? Priest gets a headache and it is usally posted to death on this (and every other) board. So stop

I already posted about this.Yes, I think it's strange.

I think it's strange that there's nothing at all about Priest's status on the KC Star website, AND no info anywhere about his MRI yesterday.

you probably have a sports agent and an TV/Movie/appearances agent at least...

Does the agent's name match a country in Europe?
The guy I know is Michael Esterman. He actually only has a few sports guys, mostly music people and models with the occasional porn star. And, of course, William Hung

Take it FWIW, but I work with a guy who's daughter talked to Priest yesterday (she works for his agent), and she says that Priest may be done. Aparently when he gets hit a certain way, he goes partially numb. She said he is pretty scared.

Don't know how true this is, but I do know that she talks to these guys frequently.

Thanks for the info...really.But, aren't you worried you won't be able to go back to this well after you leave your friend's daughter unemployed? Couldn't you have posted the info without being too specific. ie "just heard from someone in the office of Holmes' agent...". Then let the sharks digest the info and toss it or use it. Don't worry about the name-calling bozos who have nothing else to contribute to this board.

On FF note, As a Holmes owner, I hope nothing comes from this. Even if it is all true, I'd like to think he'll wake up the next moring, shake the fear off, and play football like he's capable of until the season is over when he announces his retirement. Meanwhile, I've heard enough now to start making the moves to acquire LJ for the handcuff before the price gets too high. There are other factors than this rumor to justify this fairly decent insurance move. If it can't be done, I may have to trade him. Although he has been disappointing for #3 in the draft, he's performed well enough for me. He hasn't been a bust like Culpepper.

They've been friends for a long time. She actually got to meet Priest through him last year. I was supposed to go but I got sick with debilitating diarhea and couldn't make it. :bag: :bag:  :bag: :bag: Anyway, lets get this back on topic.

BTW, we in the pool were hoping super model .......
She's only hot enough for regular model status. But, she's got a real job and is smarter than any model I've ever met.Anyway, please back on topic.

I would think it would be much tougher to get LJ this week as their owner has probably been waiting all year for Priest to go down.. I tried to get LJ last week but got shot down.. I know I have no chance in my league of getting him..I would try though...

Plenty of reports out there say that Priest is playing next week. Once that changes, you won't be able to get him at all.

I guess now would be the time to do it before any definitive news comes out. Of course, the "definitive news" could turn out to be that Priest wants to play another five years.

Got LJ for Leftwich last week from an owner desperate for a bye week QB and a W.

Near the end of the gamePriest was shown laughing on the sidelines so i think it's a bunch of crap.

11/01 16:25 Chiefs: Holmes undergoing further evaluation

THE NEWS

The initial evaluation on Priest Holmes' mild head trauma showed no trouble, but the Chiefs running back will undergo further tests to ensure that he can return to the playing field for week nine against the Raiders. "[We're waiting on] reports that will confirm to him and give him confidence that he's healthy and ready to go," head coach **** Vermeil said on Tuesday. "Everyone's different in those situations. He's had some problems with a nerve problem (neck) earlier in the season, and we want to make sure that No. 1 he feels good. We're going through the process with him just like we would anyone else, and tomorrow we'll put it into a category of where he is."

Our View

This sounds like the initial tests revealed no problems, and that Holmes' comfort level will be the determining factor in when he returns to the field. On Wednesday, the Chiefs will list Holmes on the injury report, and our best guess is that he'll be classified as questionable. As soon as more results and information is available, we'll pass it along. Larry Johnson would of course see his role increase if Holmes is limited.

This is a bit worrying in my opinion. It sounds like that poster that said Holmes was nervous may have been right on the money :(

I am offering up Fisher and McCown for LJ due to this thread. I was going to offer more but I didn't want to seem obvious or anything.

This report is actually very consistent with the information Syx provided. How often do they do addtional tests for the players confidence? It also mentions a nerve problem in the neck earlier this year that I don't think was common knowledge.

CBS is horrible at predicting sits every week.. I am shocked people still use them for info.. Priest Holmes wasn't sure Wednesday if he'd be available to play this weekend.

He's listed as questionable, but did practice. "I am not sure because most of that stuff has not been determined," Holmes cryptically said Wednesday. But practicing is a good sign.

Q: Will you be able to play this Sunday vs. Oakland?

HOLMES: “I am not sure because most of that stuff has not been determined. I know the doctors are taking every precaution in looking at all of the images from the MRI and once that is done they are going to give me the word let’s get suited up.”

He’s had some problem with a nerve earlier in the season. He wanted to make sure, No. 1, that he feels good about it.” Rev up the LJ bandwagon.. He makes a tempting play..

However, he is still awaiting clearance from team doctors who are in the process of reviewing results of an MRI taken earlier in the week."We are still waiting on diagnosis of the images from the MRI, but I definitely know once that is done we will have a better idea of how exactly I can proceed with the rest of the week," said Holmes in a Wednesday conference call. "I am feeling good."Holmes was injured in the third quarter of last Sunday's 28-20 defeat after receiving a hard hit from Chargers' rookie Shawne Merriman. He did not return to the game and finished with just 38 yards on 14 attempts.Larry Johnson, who has been splitting time with Holmes for much of the season, will get the bulk of the carries if the Pro Bowl back is unable to go.Holmes leads the Chiefs with 451 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground. He has also caught 21 passes for 197 yards and an additional score.

well let's face it ... the words "head" and "trauma" never sound good together. Add this to Priest - and the fact that at this point he has nothing left to prove and he knows it. (similar to Marshall Faulk)

He has been passing up playing time, series and reps during the game to LJ .... along with last weeks report that "Priest Likes being refreshed on Monday becuase of LJ's role" means that both he and the Chiefs have confidence in LJ as the man (if necessary).

Also ... three years ago (regardless of the situation) there is no way that I would expect to hear ... "I am not sure ... that has not been determined" from priest.

A more common response from a RB would be something like ... "I feel fine, but that decision is left up to the coach. "

(all IMO)
