priest homes (1 Viewer)

15/55/1 is my guess. Value may be marginally more than that in PPR leagues, where I could see an additional 5/30.

10/45/0 for Kolby Smith.

16 carries --36 yards If LJ struggled to gain yards behind that line, Priest will get nothing. That is assuming that he makes it through the game in one piece.

He has looked pretty bad so far. Honestly, behind this abortion of a line, a back whose style enables them to fall forward for a couple of yards is useful. Priest sidesteps a little too often and the Broncos, like every other team, will be in the backfield early and often. Then again, it's the Broncos. If the Chiefs can get Priest to the line of scrimmage on five carries, they may go for 30 yards alone. If Priest does happen to do well, I will put it all down to the Broncos. I'll need to see it against the Colts before I believe it.

The last 4 games LJ wasn't struggling that much, and the Broncos run defense is attrocious. They made Ryan Grant look like Earl Campbell. A critique of Johnson this year when he was struggling was that he wasn't giving what the defense was giving him. Priest Holmes isn't nearly as strong or as explosive but he's a more patient and smarter runner. I think Holmes running style will work well with an offensive line that has improved the last few games. He's obviously healthy enough to play, and worked hard to become so. I don't expect big things from him for the rest of the season, but I think he's a good play this week. 16-843-15TD

Nice work. :goodposting:

Maybe I'm just bitter over the couple of years when I rode him to a title game only to see him injured or underperforming in week 16 (I know, :goodposting: ), but I just don't have faith in him being healthy enough to carry the load.

Call me a skeptic, but his 7 carries for 17 yards just don't have me too excited for him this week. I'll take a shot on Kolby.

Another Priest hopeful here. Yes he is 34, but but but

1. He got 6 years of wear and tear that a typical RB have at age of 30 (1 yrs at Bal and 5 years with KC)

2. In the battle between KC O-line and Broncos D-line, the Chiefs will win. So while Priest may (maybe, perhaps, possibly) do fine against the Broncos this weekend, don't expect the old Priest to be back.

There was another RB who did preety well for the Chiefs at this age and his name was Marcus Allen. Priest's vision at the O-line IMO is just as good as Marcus's, and I do think Priest is a better catcher and blocker at the back field.

My 2 cents
