This time of year is the worst. Pumpkin isn't that good. If it was why isn't it a "thing" the rest of the year?

 
Plus, it's all false advertising, all these beers, lattes, etc.... are nutmeg flavoured, not pumpkin.

I used to look forward to the local brewpub doing their pumpkin ale every year but now every brewery in the world does it.

 
Turrible. I'll choke down a piece of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving dinner, but no way do I want that crap in my coffee or beer. :X

 
What kind of commie hates the official National Fruit of the United States of America? We would not be where we are as a society without the pumpkin people. Show some respect.

 
Getting a pumpkin beer 5-10 years ago was a treat. There was only a couple of them and they only made limited quantities -- I couldn't wait for them to come out.

Now there are a million of them and they start selling them in August. Just not as much of a treat as it used to be.

Plenty of breweries use pumpkin in their beer, not all are just "spiced" beers. My favorite, and possibly the best "pumpkin" beer around, uses butternut squash though since pumpkins aren't in season when they brew it.

Yeah, the august nonsense drives me crazy. All of the beer seasons seem to have shifted forward and I do NOT support it.

Not a huge pumpkin beer fan. I can only tolerate the really subtle ones. I love most pumpkin pie though

 
i do not know if anyone actually likes the taste of just pumpkin though it is basically sugar and all spice that everyone likes no one would go out and pick up a pumpkin and just take a bite one that is way to much to eat and two it would not be good now the apple on the other hand you can just like an apple without making it all diabetic and stuff take that to the bank broapples

 
I'm on the "pumpkin anything" train... LOVE me some pumpkin shakes, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin pie, pumpkin beer... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

 
Went to brueggers for lunch, they now offer a special - pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cream cheese and a pumpkin coffee.

That's just too much.

I disagree. I think october is the best month. I love the color, the cooler temps, you have football, hockey, baseball, basketball and soccer going at the same time. You can still go play golf, fish, hunt, camp, etc...outside. You can get a lot of projects done around the house without the sweltering heat and just around the corner is thanksgiving and ski season.

 
There is another pumpkin shortage this year. We had one of these a couple of years ago. I know because my wife makes these pumpkin spice cake muffins all year round for the kids and uses canned pumpkin. For a while a few years ago, you couldn't find it anywhere.

 
man i do not get it pumkin is like the ugly girl that gets a miracle makeover or whatever but at the end of the day it is still just a bunch of makeup and she is still a buck and half overweight me brohans well i will stick with sweet lady apple which is the yoga pants of the fall flavor world and at the of the night when you are wondering what in the hell you got yourself in to i will be the brohan parked watching the submarine races with the papershaker known as apple take that to the bank brohans
