"no longer"? Is that a trick question?
No, I haven't been keeping up. I know it was a concern at one point.
"no longer"? Is that a trick question?
Was it ever?
Sadly, this is precisely why the fear mongering succeeds. Someone who knows nothing about it remembering it being a concern at one time, on a message board. It was theorized by 2 pseudo scientists out of Germany, and anti vaxxers ran with it.No, I haven't been keeping up. I know it was a concern at one point.

Well A-Aron is ok thenApparently so. I just found a study published in June saying that the vaccine doesn't cause female sterility.
It's one thing to say it should not be mocked. I'm totally with you that people should ask questions. They should also accept the answer to the question, and not continue to weaponize the question after it has been answered, or worse, disperse the inaccurate answer to the question. Here's one of the better articles I read from NPR on this myth.So what makes these guys "pseudo-scientists?" The one link says one of the guys is an epidemiologist, and that this was a theoretical risk that was later disproven by clinical trials. Doesn't sound to me like anything that didn't exist or should be mocked.

He also had some crap in there about the there's no money in Ivermectin so thats why it's not being promoted more. The whole thing was filled with cringe stuff for me.
in any case he made his choice, he'll get his 10 days off. Sounds like he's feeling fine.
I will not be purchasing the AR12 line of training equipment and lifestyle enhancers in the future.

Reading the posts here, I figured Rodgers must have said some pretty crazy things on that show. But I just watched the entire 47 minute thing. The only thing that sounds even remotely crazy was the words "holistic" and "homeopathic". That's pretty goofy stuff, and if he believes it might work, whatever, but I honestly don't care even if he's totally BS'ing just to sound like he's doing everything he can to find an alternative to bowing down to the mob. Really can't believe so many people here are still into that stuff. I got the sentiment lately that the masses were starting to realize what's going on. Oh well, to each his own, I will not judge somebody -- I make efforts not to, anyways -- based on their beliefs. Just difficult to watch.

Don't know much about Rogan, but I hear he's a podcast host, and I'm sure it's safe to assume that he is not any sort of medical expert. However, suppose someone says, "I had the same condition you currently have, I tried this treatment regimen that I've heard of, and I believe it helped," and I decide to try it. Though that may constitute "medical" "consultation" by definition, that doesn't mean I'm using him as a medical consultant by profession. I assume no prescription medications or surgeries were involved?Using joe Rogan as his medical consultant isn't crazy?

There never were scientific studies showing COVID vaccines caused problems with sterility in men or fertility in women. People ignoring that can express "concerns" but they have no basis in science. Are sterility concerns no longer a thing?

Uhm... no.Though that may constitute "medical" "consultation" by definition,
I didn't listen to it. But if you as a human being utter the words 'woke mob' in a serious context, you're an ignorant ahole playing to the right wing media. That isn't a thing, its completely devoid of meaning, and he's an ahole for saying it. Saying 'woke' has become an ignorant catchall generic term for..what exactly? Now woke means 'being vaaccinated' I guess?Reading the posts here, I figured Rodgers must have said some pretty crazy things on that show. But I just watched the entire 47 minute thing. Didn't he state that he was allergic to the two vaccines and either his doctors or medical consultants told him or that he at least believed it himself that the risks outweighed the rewards with the vaccines?Without weighing in on his beliefs, he pretty consciously choose a path that was risky medically and negatively impactful to the team's reputation and chances for success. And he was less than straightforward about it. Forget fans and sponsors. Can he get the team's trust back?
You seem serious, which makes your statements even funnier.
Using joe Rogan as his medical consultant isn't crazy?
Why? Because someone did a study on something that didn't exist?
Because I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about, you've read zero medical studies and you just believe something you heard with no facts. And there you go, people believe the earth is flat again.

He did. JMHO, he can give whatever reason he wants for his decision. The more reasonable, the more spectacular his stupidity for lying about actually being immunized. Doesn't really matter though; take whatever he says with a grain of salt. He has zero credibility at this point.Didn't he state that he was allergic to the two vaccines and either his doctors or medical consultants told him or that he at least believed it himself that the risks outweighed the rewards with the vaccines?
“I understand that, you know, the league is able to put in place its own policies,” Rodgers said. “I didn’t agree to any of them, though. I didn’t sign a piece of paper that gave away my rights to live a normal season of life.”
Again....I'm sure in Aaron's mind, he didn't "lie". (since he never actually said "I'm vaccinated" or "I took the vaccine"). But yeah, its nonsense word games and semantics. He clearly crafted his statement to make everyone think he was vaccinated when he wasn't.
What about it? I'm obviously no expert, but from what I've heard it is a drug that some take as a Covid treatment that may or may not help.I think it included Ivermectin.
With all due respect, you kind of missed the point, and maybe it was due to my wording. My point was that, whereas taking advice from someone on a medical topic might be "consulting" based on the dictionary definition of consulting, it's not the same as professional medical consultation. He took nonprofessional advice on one medical topic, from some dude named Joe Rogan. Not the same as paying Joe Rogan to handle all of your medical decisions by default.Uhm... no.
A medical consult by definition is “a procedure whereby, upon request by one healthcare provider, another healthcare provider reviews a patient's medical history, examines the patient, and makes recommendations as to care and treatment.”
Something Joe Rogan says on a podcast is not even remotely a medical consultation by any stretch.
Nice referencecouch grass and cramp bark? I think that’s what killed Curly
I have zero issue with his vaccine decision. I have issue with the ridiculous, narcissistic diatribe he put forth in that interview.I appreciate him standing up. Brave and bold move.
Do you think the points he made matter more of your evaluation of what is basically a performance of the points?I have zero issue with his vaccine decision. I have issue with the ridiculous, narcissistic diatribe he put forth in that interview.
"Woke", "mob mentality", "cancel culture", "witch hunt", "Joe Rogan". They weren't points, they were whining. Once again, I have no issue with his refusing the vaccine if he was allergic to ingredients. But he sounded like a 12 year old on Tik-Tok with much of the nonsense he spewed forth. And don't get me started wit the total misquote of MLK.Do you think the points he made matter more of your evaluation of what is basically a performance of the points?
How is he a victim at all really?https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/11/05/aaron-rodgers-claims-hes-a-victim-of-the-woke-mob-and-cancel-culture/
Someone please tell Rodgers to just drop the shovel. He can throw all of the catchy terms like witch hunt and woke that he wants... he's not a victim here.
How is he a victim at all really?
He chose a path and now has to follow the consequences just like everyone else. The harshest criticisms have come from the fact that he lied like a coward. He’s facing no penalties and no one is calling for his head. His use of the word “victim” shows much more about his character than any decision he made about getting vaccinated or not.

Rodgers did not go looking for this fight. He suffered a medical issue and has been criticized for getting sick and not seeking a treatment that has not delivered as promised. This was all before he was able to offer any comments, major national football league media urged his retirement for his choice and as far as I can tell, universally attacked his choice."Woke", "mob mentality", "cancel culture", "witch hunt", "Joe Rogan". They weren't points, they were whining. Once again, I have no issue with his refusing the vaccine if he was allergic to ingredients. But he sounded like a 12 year old on Tik-Tok with much of the nonsense he spewed forth. And don't get me started wit the total misquote of MLK.
Well one is pretty clear cut and the other has people on both sides discussing it.Aaron Rodgers has drawn more criticism than Henry Ruggs this week. How sad.
