QB Dak Prescott, DAL (2 Viewers)

Amazing. Never even sniffed the final 4. And odds are we have seen his ceiling. Only downhill from here. But good for him. A ton of cash for very little return.

Jerruh played this poorly. Dak had all the leverage.

He got that bag, so now he can afford to upgrade his couch and TV for playoff watching.
I think he played it perfectly.

Wait for a bad deal long enough, but still make the deal at the point when there are no good free agents left and its 2 hours before kickoff of your first game.

Imagine if the Cowboys had just signed him to this exact deal on the first day of the league year.

Some rumors that Dallas is possibly going to trade for Amari Cooper. That'd be a pretty big boost to Dak with a Lamb, Cooper, Cooks, Ferguson (and maybe Tolbert) group.

Does feel like Dallas isn't gonna have success running the ball on all but the worst of defenses, so putting it all on Dak and getting another big time weapon would make sense.

On the flip side, it seems like Cooper wants out of Cleveland, and he has had success with Dak, and Cleveland paid pretty highly for Jeudy. Of course, Dallas should have never gotten rid of Cooper in the 1st place, but they wildly misjudged the WR market 3 years ago.

Haven’t seen this Cooper rumor. Trying to trade for Dak in SuperFlex and maybe I should get in front of that.

Its from Sports Illustrated. Once upon a time that was a big deal, not sure how credible it is now, but figured it was worth passing along.

ETA: I wouldn't make a deal with that being an expectation, but if you are getting a nice deal on Dak, it could be a potential bonus.

Anatomy of internet garbage and how to identify it before sharing or “passing it along.”

So, I clicked on that SI link. It’s important to know SI is basically Bleacher Report or whatever these days. AI generated articles aplenty, and the actual humans aren’t the hardest of hard nosed.

The SI article attributes the rumor to ESPN’s Dan Graziano. Well, ok, that’s something. I’ll just click on the link and see what old Dan has to say. Except you click on the link and it takes you to some Twitter account with 8K followers called Football Forever. That Tweet links us to Dan Graziano’s Twitter handle. Not a specific tweet - just the handle. Dan hasn’t actually tweeted anything in 5 days. A Google search using Dan Graziano and Amari Cooper as key words turns up nothing except a bunch of other “articles” also citing Dan Graziano but also only linking to Football Forever or the SI article. Maybe Football Forever heard it on the radio or something and didn’t think to specify? Somehow I doubt it.

Conclusion: This is completely made up by an internet yahoo. There’s no “there” there. Invented from thin air.

Well what am I gonna do with this Dak I traded for based solely on that news?

What impact does this have on Lamb and Jake. That’s what folks are worried about at this point. I’m sure it probably helps the Kicker. Not that he needs any help.

Must have been from that 22 yard run. That's the farthest his fat *** has run in years. :bored: But hey, at least he got his bag.

Cowboys' Jerry Jones explains why QB Dak Prescott isn't running ball much in 2024
Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy specifically sought to utilize Dak Prescott's legs in 2023, and the quarterback answered the call, logging his most carries in five years en route to All-Pro honors. By contrast, Prescott has been a virtual non-factor on the ground this year, both as a designed rusher and scrambler, managing just 10 rushes through seven games.
Dak has carried the ball just ten times in seven games.
Why isn't Dak Prescott running in 2024? Jerry Jones doesn't want him to.
More inept interference from the owner.
