Two things:
1) How do we know he is a system QB? This is no system play, yet he hits his man in stride while off balance and under duress. 
2) Even if he actually is, does it matter? McVay is going to be there a while, as are all his weapons. By the time Kupp's rookie contract is up, Goff will be a 5 year veteran, possibly ready to graduate from his "system QB" label that is curiously assigned to him.

 
He's gonna be a high floor guy with the occasional high ceiling game. If he had KC's defense he would be one of the top  5  fantasy QB's. I think the Defense and Gurley with cap his ceiling.

 
He was a few inches away from a 4th TD yesterday.  His accuracy has been impressive, including long throws.  Over 9 ypa.  He puts the ball in the right spot for his guys to catch and run every time.  Like others have said, he isn't going to get into many shootouts so he probably won't reach top 5.  But he is as solid as they come so he should end up in that 5-10 range.

 
We still have not seen Goff's ceiling.  Remember this is only his 3rd year and 2nd year under McVay.  Yet this offense has scored 30+ in each game this year.

It's funny how everyone was saying his deep ball accuracy was bad but once he got an elite deep threat it's good now. Funny how that works.

 
I'm back, baby! Drafted him and Gurley in our startup draft when he was a rookie and man he looked so bad I dumped him as a throw in midseason. 

Now that I've traded to get him back I'm thrilled to pair him with Gurley. Pretty much lock up all the Rams TDs. 

He really is undervalued I agree. At his age in that offense, how is he not considered top 5?

Anyway, happy to be a Rams fan. :)

 
I started Matt Ryan over Goff.  But good to see him tearing it up.  Always knew that second year under McVay system will give him a chance to be elite.  Also watch the 2nd half.  McVay has not grinded out the clock in the first three games.  He stays aggressive.

 
Goff is on his way to his third 300 yard game in a row.  In 15 games last year he only had 4 games over 300 yards.  What’s scary is we haven’t seen his ceiling nor the system under McCays ceiling.

All those 300 yard games came in the 2nd half of the season. He's been surging since week 8 or 9 of last year...….

 
Okay this Rams offense is scary legit.  Goff could be up there with Mahomes as the best fantasy QB this year.  And I would have never said this back in August holy cow.

 
I can’t believe I might bench Rodgers for Goff moving forward. Didn’t think I’d say that for another 3 years or so. 

 
I don’t remember ever seeing a QB look so incapable his first year and so quickly turning into a star. Night and day. Much credit to Jeff Fisher who is masterful at disguising greatness.

Buck and Troy said the same thing in the booth last night.  I think they said he could barley throw a spiral the first time they saw him or something hilarious.

Some of those throws last night were elite. I mean there's only one other QB in the league that I can think of that makes throws like that every game and his name is Aaron Rodgers. 

For this year I'd rather have Mahomes because KC D is so bad but both of those guys are top 3-5 QBs moving forward. 

 
Ok let’s pump the brakes, lol. Kid has a bright future but best QB in the league? Think there might be a few guys with multiple MVPs and SBs who would argue with that. Sure would be mad excited if I were a Rams fan tho. 

So maybe the Buffalo game wasn’t a complete fluke. Minnesota isn’t the elite D that we were led to believe? And it’s pretty apparent who everyone needs to beat if they wanna be champions this year. 

 
More of a team take than Goff, but it applies I guess:

People owning Rams this year are going to be pissed in the playoffs imo.

This is a 0-1 loss team that will clinch home field early.

Goff became the first quarterback in NFL history with at least 350 passing yards and a 75 percent rate of completions in three straight games,

 
Mcvay is a dream coach for this guy, loves to throw it, even with a weapon like Gurley where he could grind out run after run.  Very happy to have Goff right now and he is now a set it and forget it QB.

 
Those throws he made last nite are the exact reason I wanted him out of college for the Browns (over wentz) and same reason I wanted Mayfield.

Apparently you stopped there. Unlike you, who is infamous for being more wrong on a guy going on 5 years running now, I eat my crow when the time comes.

Kid looks good, I've admitted I was wrong, still think it must have been Fisher, not Goff.

Waited at QB and took Mahomes and Goff at the 13/14 turn in my main league.  No foresight they were just the 2 there when I drafted.  But yeesh.
