Underdog NFL
Joe Flacco since 2018:
• 6 different teams
• 14-27 record
• 59 TDs, 38 INTs
• Been on 3 of 4 AFC North teams
He's brought bad offensives to life a couple of times the past few yearsIs this really gonna help? Seriously? He lost his job in Cleveland…maybe he’s better than Browning but will he help the fate of the Cincy offense? I want to hope so but don’t see it.

Definitely a boost for Bengals weapons IMO. Flacco hasn’t been great to start the season, but Jake Browning has been an abomination.
That being said, it might be worth testing the market to see if you could sell your Bengals high off this news.
Flacco is 2nd to last in EPA/Play (to only Browning) and has been pretty bottom of the barrel in all efficiency and accuracy metrics.
More importantly, the perceived “Flacco” effect that massively bolstered the Browns weapons back in 2023 has not been the case over the past 2 years. He’s down to an 8.8% deep throw rate (14.2% in 2023) and a 6.6 aDOT (9.6 in 2023).
And at 40 years old, with lacking mobility, things could get ugly with this offensive line that is dead last in ESPN’s pass block win rate.

The Bengals now have two of them, Joe Flacco and Jake Browning.![]()
he's not good but he's probably an upgrade from browning. he has better weapons to throw to now![]()
Already starting so the impression Joe makes in 24 hours is monumental. Ha ha
Joe Flacco completed 29-of-45 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals’ 27-18, Week 6 loss to the Packers.
Flacco was great in his Bengals debut. The journeyman pocket passer aggressively targeted Ja’Marr Chase, regardless of how tight the coverage was, on short and intermediate out routes. The two linked up 10 times for 94 yards and one touchdown, and fantasy managers should expect the successes to continue in the coming weeks. A strong connection between the two is already evident. Flacco can be treated as a QB2 against a far more fantasy-friendly Steelers defense in Week 7.

Agreed, and honestly, given the defense and all, I wouldn't be shocked with these weapons, if Flacco himself wasn't a startable QB.As a Chase owner I'm quite thrilled with Mr Flacco's performance.
Obviously Chase was awesome, but let's not forget Higgins. Chase would be a top-12 WR had Browning stayed the starter. Higgins was looking like a roster albatross, too good to cut, not good enough to start. Now he's suddenly back in the WR2 conversation. He doesn't slide, he's looking at a 6-103-2 game himself.Chase loving him some Flacco
Next Gen Stats
Joe Flacco completed 28 of 37 passes for 336 yards & 3 TDs from a clean pocket in a TNF win over the Steelers.
This was Flacco's most passing yards from a clean pocket since Week 4, 2018 (also vs. PIT), and lowest pressure rate faced this season (24.5%).

Also helps to be able to read a defense and see where you can make a quick completion.I really thought this statue of a man was going to be at the bottom of many piles, as many teams ring up sack records.
But damn he gets that ball out fast and makes that O line look just fine. Browning was running like a scared squirrel as soon as the ball reached his hands from center.
Wild contrast. Important lesson.
Flacco as the Bengals starter paid off last week too. Against the Packers, Flacco had 219 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, and he had the Bengals in the game until the end. In that game Ja’Marr Chase had 10 receptions for 94 yards and 1 TD.Obviously this week it would have paid off, but is he startable for fantasy nerds every week?

Probably match up dependent. Steelers pass D is garbage. But there should be some more good games coming.Obviously this week it would of paid off, but is he startable for fantasy nerds every week? Has the weapons. Has the bad defense. Everything lines up for a top 10 rest of season performance. Just feels weird. Ha ha
A reminder that sacks are a QB stat, not an OL stat. Also helps to be able to read a defense and see where you can make a quick completion.I really thought this statue of a man was going to be at the bottom of many piles, as many teams ring up sack records.
