And behind a line that gave him very little time to make reads. That’s why the “doesn’t make his reads” narrative bugs me.
When he was allowed to run he certainly made quick decisions to scramble when no one was open - when he had shackles on, he’d get crushed by a collapsing pocket in a hurry.
Falcons, Pats, Steelers, Seahawks all make sense. Given the Raiders coaching hires they’re probably out of the picture.
All of those seem reasonable. Seattle would be interesting depending on who they hire as the new OC.
I think Geno has a lot more job security than that. He's been really good for them, and I can't see them bringing in someone who is a real threat to his job that costs a lot draft capital wise. I could see them going after a cheaper reclamation project, like a Mac Jones or someone like that.
I don't know if Gesty rules out Fields to Vegas or makes it more likely. They made real strides down the stretch, and he already knows the offense, and its a better supporting cast.
Someone mentioned it earlier and it rings true. Who has the highest upside going forward?
I think its more complex than that. Its still Fields and probably three 1sts vs Williams and probably a 2nd. I am a Fields supporter, but I think Williams is clearly a better prospect, but I don't know if he's THAT much better of a prospect, because for that difference in capital, he needs to be a borderline top-5 NFL QB.
