It’s the kind you ask the HC of a 0-6 team with a QB that just threw for 45 total yards.
I feel like I’m constantly yelling into this void. It’s funny sometimes. I’ve been saying this since beginning or mid-August. This is Sept. 3rd. Had we even had opening night?
Aaron Glenn needs to drop the media act like last month and forget it ever existed. Really skeptical of this new regime and what they’re doing with the roster.
I’m sick of defensive guys and I got **** here last time but I’ve had it with ****ty offensive football run by guys with temperaments ill-suited for the NFL. Sorry if I’m jumping the gun but you guys can have the two years of forcible sodomy if you want; I’ll be throwing Molotov cocktails at the czar.
Its better than Saleh texting Joe Benigno during the week lol - seriously Bellichick is the worst media relations person...
"I hate to break it to you but they're in the running for the first pick in the draft. It's only that nobody realizes it yet.
They suck. There aren't going to be too many wins and you're going to have to abide this clown crap for a few years. It'll get old really quickly.” - Sept. 3rd, me
They were at 5.5 win projection at beginning of season (along with Clev and NYG), only team worse was NO at 5 so that predection wasn't exaxtly going out on a limb.
I was talking about Glenn and the media. I had already had it with the act by August. Actually, *almost every problem they have had I’ve written about at length and on this board months ago. I'm not quoting myself because i’m arrogant. I’m doing it because I don’t think there’s an issue I didn’t cover fairly thoroughly and it saves me time to quote it.

@rockaction What's your take on Aaron Glenn? Any chance he could take this team in a different direction or are the headwinds too strong even for him?
You know what? I have to give him a chance and I really might sound like I'm not but I have two and now three things that I don't like. Keep in mind that I have been so disgusted with the Jets that I haven't followed the minutiae of the offseason. But there are actually four things
1) I'm not a real fan of coaches that play hard-*** either through the media to their players or try and play hard-*** against the beats and media...
1) I'm not a real fan of coaches that play hard-*** either through the media to their players or try and play hard-*** against the beats and media covering the team. Glenn seems to do both.
2) The Jets needed a quarterback to reset them. They signed my least favorite in the NFL and didn't draft anybody to even attempt to develop one. Before someone chimes in with, "they couldn't waste picks and had to use them judiciously," I'll rejoin that they took a guy nearly one hundred places above consensus in the fourth round, which leads to subsection a)
a) usually when a GM reaches like that there's a real reason or some inside dope. I haven't been assuaged that there's been either of those things, nor has a really good reason been given why waiting until the sixth for Arian Smith was not the best move. Nobody was taking this guy in the fourth of fifth,
3) The Jets hired another defensive coach. I'll admit I was happy that we'd gone to Detroit and gotten a Jet alumnus who by all accounts works his butt off. But here's the thing. We haven't had competent offensive football played since about 2003. It's been two decades at least. And watching a team that has trouble throwing the football more than fifteen yards has gotten so old you wouldn't believe. As a fan who is spending a ton of time (and some money) to watch these guys, I want a return. I want exciting and competent football on both sides of the ball. If Justin Fields and taking your most dynamic back out of the game sounds like offensive competence, you have about a minute before I cut you off because this is the same story for nearly twenty-five years and Testaverde and Pennington as your apex is like dating a cute girl in high school and realizing at seventy that she was the best you ever did. It's almost crushing.
4) The ownership is such a mess that it affects everything as a fan and neither the people with the most access to information nor the fan has any way to hold anybody accountable. The owner's sixteen or seventeen year-old kid was telling their owner father to refuse trades the GM had in the works because the guy the Jets would get had ****ty Madden ratings. I mean, where do you go after that? In my opinion, anybody who thinks that the Jets can function and that football people can do their jobs with that sort of internal control is deluding themselves. I refuse to delude myself. And it branches out everywhere. Every time the previous GM Joe Douglas made a move that sounded off (and he built an okay team) I would immediately try to figure out how far it was off and whether Woody (the owner) or his kid Brick (that's what they call him for real) had anything to do with it. The teenagers he had were giving out locker room game balls to guys after wins. I mean, if you've six Lombardis in the building then maybe you can laugh that off. But Woody (and possibly Brick) are the reason we had coaches like Adam Gase and GMs like Mike Maccagnan.
I guess I could type forever so I'll stop. But do I sound like I think this is going to end differently in any way? I just don't. I really hope I'm wrong. And one last thing: I am not a masochist nor do I like being this bad. I hated it as a Red Sox fan, and probably the greatest sports memories I have are of 2004, 2007, and 2013. Pure elation and joy. I just . . . you can't beat it. But you know what that took? A brand spanking new ownership team that completely cleaned house, changed philosophies, hired great talent, spent the money wisely, and kept control of the internal affairs really well. Did I always agree with them? No, in fact I have big quibbles with the remaining guy now, but those titles were a result of competence and effectiveness coming from the top. We have none of that for the Jets and I'm actually afraid for my good friends in the Jets thread that all their passion is just stepped on and abused by cynical operators. I hate it. I might very well hate the Jets.
eta** Shoot this guy into the sun already. I've already had it with this ****.
