Probably a good bet to bounce back next week against Miami.Yup.....really seemed like Herbert was primed for a huge year. Even with slater going down, I thought he would be great.
But just too many injuries. They flat put can't block right now

I’d go Baker. It’s close but when in doubt I’d rather not have to sit on a Thursday dud game all weekend.no one is answering me in WDIS
Herbert tonight vs MN or Baker @ NO sunday??
Also starting Ladd & probably vidal which scares me haha
He doesn't act very well in his commercialsThe narrative on this guy has been funny.
Had 2 amazing seasons to start his career, then got stuck with bad coaching and rosters and
"wow I dunno what people see in this guy"
Now he is like QB5/6 on the season.
Arm talent folks dream about, great leadership (and hair when he wants)
What are the naysayers saying now?
Baker. TNF stinkerno one is answering me in WDIS

IDK...I'd lean Herbert. At least he has all his WR's and a break out candidate at TE and is at home. Baker is down so many weapons. He can only do so much as well.no one is answering me in WDIS

Justin Herbert showing the world why he’s that dude.
And the improvement has come from his ability to improvise….Never seen him do it quite like this.
Ryan DePaul
And just like that… Justin Herbert has more completions than any player in NFL history in their first 6 seasons.
that's kind of shockingChase Daniel

W-L-L-L. Mid passing stats wit a touchdown or two per game. The OL is killing this team's chances for playoffs or at most 1 and out.Thoughts ROS? O line injuries and rough schedule...

Chargers QB Justin Herbert fractured his left hand today vs. the Raiders and is set to undergo surgery Monday, per HC Jim Harbaugh. The team is uncertain if Herbert will miss any time.
Chargers host the Eagles next week; now the question is whether Justin Herbert or Trey Lance will be LA’s QB1.
Shotgun exclusively.Herbert's broken bone is in his hand, not wrist (like aaron rodgers).
How does he take a snap until it's healed?
The same as he did yesterday. I can't imagine he will miss time. He's tough as nails and their season is on the line.Herbert's broken bone is in his hand, not wrist (like aaron rodgers).

Justin Herbert underwent surgery today in Los Angeles to stabilize a fracture in his left hand.
Per the team: “Herbert’s return to play is considered day-to-day, and his status for next Monday’s game against Philadelphia will be determined later in the week.”
I dunno - it’s his non-throwing hand, and he played 3 quarters of football with it.Sounds like a lot of word games then Lance starts MNF.
I also think he'll play as long as he gets medical clearance, which it sounds like there will be, and it's just a matter of whether he can snap the ball effectively. There is definitely motivation to have him out there though even if not 100%, as the playoffs are on the line for the team. Can't imagine a world where they'd want their playoff hopes to rest with Lance unless absolutely necessary.I dunno - it’s his non-throwing hand, and he played 3 quarters of football with it.Sounds like a lot of word games then Lance starts MNF.
Post surgery they’ll tape it up to stabilize it - from what Herber is saying it comes down to pain tolerance and he’s planning on playing.
This is a dude who played through plantar fascia last year, so if it’s only about pain tolerance, I’d expect him out there.
Rodgers was wearing a big mitten, aircast thingie in the last game. I'd expect Herbert may have something similar on. May slightly limit handing the ball off to one side or another like it did Rodgers but that may be it unless he takes a hard fall on it or somethingI dunno - it’s his non-throwing hand, and he played 3 quarters of football with it.Sounds like a lot of word games then Lance starts MNF.

Rodgers broke his wrist though. Herbert’s is a finger injury, so likely a lot easier to manage.Rodgers was wearing a big mitten, aircast thingie in the last game. Which, by amazing coincidence, is the title of my sex tape. But, harder to handle balls.

Even if he played on Thursday and I had to bet $100 on whether he played or not I’d bet “played”.Sounds like a lot of word games then Lance starts MNF.
I doubt it. Herbert has played through multiple serious injuries in his career to date. I expect him to play.
He’s mobile enough to avoid a lot of contact - very underrated attribute of Herbert’s game. I’ve been saying this for a while, but it seems like unless he’s playing in a prime time game everyone forgets about his mobility. With missing 2 starting OTs and a hungry/desperate Eagles team coming in, this seems like a big risk to take.
With that said, its definitely hard to target the opposing QB's hand, per se, but I'd expect the Eagles to try to knock him around as much as possible.
I’m not. It’s like how everyone said not to expect any rushing yards from Dart this week because of his concussion. He ran 4x for 20 yards.Herbert had fantasy value because he was sneakily running for 25-50 yards a week. I’m sure that’s gone now.
