QB Russell Wilson, NYG (7 Viewers)

I pulled a trade off for Dak and will be cutting Wilson. I would rather have Geno as my back up plus Wilson has the same bye week as Dak anyway. I don't see things turning around this year with Hackett as coach. Wilson's declining skills along with inept coaching have made this a situation I could no longer tolerate.

Now he has a "severe" hamstring injury and is "pushing hard to play"
Never seen a player that's so awful, trying so hard to play just so he can lead his team to another close loss.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Russell Wilson (hamstring) is considered "day-to-day."

That's not quite the doom-and-gloom we were fed earlier. Wilson sounds like he may be truly questionable to play in Week 7 against the Jets. Rapoport helpfully adds that Russ is "pushing to play." The Wilson that we saw in the second half last night won't help the Broncos.

Sherman and Beast Mode outright said they had to contact Russ's manager to try to talk to him :lmao:

I think I have FFPTSD from that MNF game.

Going from the elation of finally seeing your QB playing inspired football - 10/10 with a TD. Showing poise and escapability.

Then 4 more quarters of nothing. Just…nothing.

I can still feel the feeling that gave me. Just a stunned silent questioning of whether this was real life.

It’s haunting me. I’m so glad he’s off my redraft team, the only place I rostered him.

Lord help my Sutton share. :(

It figures that "classy" fellas like Sherman and Lynch would pile on now and kick Wilson when he is down. I would expect nothing less from either.

I think two things here are true. Wilson hasn't played well and doesn't look close to the player he used to be, but Hackett is such an awful coach that the offense has no chance to succeed. The Broncos organization needs to move off of Hackett NOW. Not at the end of the season, not in a month, but NOW. Not sure the season is still salvageable either way, as I think it will take Wilson re-dedicating himself to the sport and getting in better shape again in the offseason to return to form, but Hackett is the worst head coach I have ever seen and everyone apparently sees it but his bosses.

I had not seen Wilson in video for years now as I don't watch much football these days. Saw a tiktok of him and he looks like a 38 yo dad that hits the gym sometimes. Not good.

If he had a good OL and decent coaching, I do believe he’d be a top 12 QB.

As it stands, he’s not startable.

I agree with this.

I also think Jerry Jeudy is a creep and has quit on this team. In Russes defense people aren’t making plays for him. He’s thrown a few darts that could have been TD’s.

Imagine directing longtime teammates to your manager 🤣🤣 Speaks volumes no one is jumping to his defense

Sounds like a jewel. Enjoy the next few years Denver.

Let Geno Cook.

Let's not forget that Wilson wanted input into the Denver offense and reportedly got his way. IMO Wilson fails to acknowledge his weaknesses.

This is what happens when a 49er fan drafts Russell Wilson. You gave him the chance to continue to torture you, and hes running with it.

No offense, but I for one hope he sucks out loud the rest of his career, and I hope he sucks at whatever he does after he retires.

Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett said Russell Wilson (hamstring) is questionable and will be a game-time decision.

Russ' hamstring has been an interesting storyline this week, and he's lost practice snaps to Brett Rypien while dealing with the injury. The way the Broncos are playing right now, you absolutely want no part of starting an injured Wilson in one-quarterback leagues. Superflex leagues will want to have backup plans available for this weekend, and should probably break ties against Wilson.

Russ is out this week per NFL, Schefter, etc.
In my league, there aren't many alternatives. And there are several potentially good matchups in the next 7 weeks, JAG, LV, CAR, ARI. Even facing BAL & KC, the Broncos may have to put up points.

I'm considering picking up Mac Jones and dropping Wilson, but Wilson is a better weekly match with my now #1 QB, Geno Smith.

If you watch the clip you would see Lynch wasn't kicking Wilson when he was down. He was doing the opposite actually. Yea Sherman certainly was, but he's also the same guy who threw a ball at him and called him a little ***** when they were teammates.

How could they have possibly not found this on the MRI?

After the MRI there was optimism that a major injury was avoided, and he was considered DTD.

I think the Broncos were jagging off with the injury report. Weird.

That said, *technically* any “strain” is a tear - so they may just be adding emphasis to it.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Russell Wilson has a "partially torn hamstring, leaving his status in doubt beyond the start he'll miss today against the Jets."

The Broncos get the Jaguars next week in London and then have their bye. Giving Wilson one more week off would give him plenty of time to fully recover from the Grade 2 hamstring strain. Wilson was able to practice in a limited capacity this week, but Brett Rypien was prepped to be the starter as early as Wednesday. Rypien will draw the start this week versus the Jets.

Russell Wilson (hamstring) said he's "feeling good" and "ready to rock" after logging a limited practice Wednesday.

We'll know for sure if Wilson will play this week against the Jaguars if he says, "Broncos country, let's ride." All kidding aside, it seems Wilson will be available for Sunday's London game against the Jaguars after missing Week 7 with a hamstring injury. His mobility could be limited, making him a (very) shaky fantasy option in 12-team leagues. Wilson should remain on the waiver wire in 10-team formats. Jacksonville has allowed the 10th lowest EPA per drop back through Week 7.
