QB Tom Brady, Retired (1 Viewer)

With his ownership stake and retirement, he'd have to get 24 owners to approve of him playing too.
Brady's request to become part owner of the Raiders has not come up for a vote and has not been approved or denied. So technically he doesn't need leaguewide owners' approval at this point to return to play. Of course, the owners could vote and authorize his ownership stake in LV soon, which would certainly complicate matters. But Brady could revoke his request for a proposed stake in team and be done with it. I don't recall why the league owners haven't considered his request yet. I seem to remember one of the issues was that many people felt Brady was getting a deep discount for the share of the franchise that he would be buying. But I haven't followed it much over the past year. I'm also not that convinced that Brady knows what he wants to do . . . player, owner, broadcaster, other.

Kind of ironic that he didn’t like the affect on his kids yet he chose to continue playing football over prioritizing family and time with them.
Feels kind of hollow to me after the fact lamenting how he did not like the impact on his kids. Exactly how did he think it would go?

It's kind of telling to me that as soon as someone tried to roast Kraft he stood up and wanted to put a stop to it but never when they went after the mother of his kids or jokes about him shirking his parental duties.

Still the GOAT though, enjoyed watching the roast but for sure thought it was probably the cringiest thing I've seen on TV in years.

He is too soft in the feels department. Just don't do a "roast" if you can't take the jokes. I gotta say this lowers my opinion of him as a person. I guess the money was good enough to do it though.

IMO, this is simply damage control to keep his exes happy. IIRC, he and Jeff Ross recently became business partners to get into the roast business (and have more of them and take them on the road). I don't really think Brady in reality is soft on this . . . he's being PC to keep the mothers of his children in check.

I don't like that either. 2 faced is 2 faced. You can say business is business but naw...I don't like it. Maybe this is what Antonio Brown was pointing to? IDK, just smells bad to me.

Could this happen?
He’s 47, just started a job where he makes 40M a year, is trying to buy a piece of the Raiders and already proved he could win without BB. Idk why he’d give all that up for a team that probably isn’t a serious Super Bowl contender.
it would be so awesome though.
Gotta get those career numbers uncatchable by Mahomes. Maybe he'd just like the attention. Maybe he'd love to throw to Hill/Waddle/Achane.

That's 3 somewhat plausible reasons. Its unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

If—and that's a big if—he plays like he did in his last years, Miami could be a serious one. They've arguably got the best receiving corps, strong backs, and a solid D. Not saying he will though...

List of longest streak of consecutive starts by an NFL Quarterback | year ended:
  1. Favre 321 | 2010
  2. Rivers 252 | 2021
  3. P Manning 227 | 2011
  4. E Manning 222 | 2017
  5. R Wilson 165 | 2021
  6. Ryan 163 | 2019

If TB12 comes back, I'm just gonna presume he signs a 7 year deal and never misses a game.

Josh Allen hasn't missed a start since 2018. That's 73 starts by my count.

You're right, the 2022 Hamlin game that was canceled threw me off

Goff is #2 on the current list

Tyreek, Waddle and Achane, in Miami, you can't tell me he's not thinking about it... On one hand nah kinda ridiculous, but on the other dude is out of his mind.
