In overtime, Mario got his 3rd sack, but there was an unsportsmanlike penalty on the play. Now I was watching the cpu and it said there was no play because of the penalty. Is this correct there shouldn't of been a sack?

I think that penalty is added at the end of the play. So the sack counts.

Ok, wasn't sure. Sportsline said that there was no play, that's why I questioned it.

Ok, wasn't sure. Sportsline said that there was no play, that's why I questioned it.

No biggie. A similar situation occurred in the Ravens/Bengals game. Ray Lewis got a sack on Palmer but was called for tripping on the play. So the penalty was accessed at the point of the sack (which was 8 yards behind the LOS). Lewis still got credit for a sack.
