This may be more of a sell high candidate thread but ...

FBG has Curry in fairly decent company (WR24) with their Top 250 going forward. Using that list when trying to determine a sell-high, it seems as if Curry is working at his ceiling right now. Does the switch to Culpepper cement this thought or hurt it?

Outside of week 1 both Curry & Porter have seen similar targets numbers. I did not watch the Denver game but I am assuming Bailey helped inflate Porter's targets.

R. Curry is a smarter football player and plays like a professional unlike his prima dona cohert Porter. Curry won't be consistent every week due to the Raiders QB situation, but he is gold given the right match-up.

It seems that Porter has more upside b/c he hasn't caught as many balls. But the question should be, who will out preform the other. I don't think there's much upside from either unless the Raiders get it going. Curry works hard and gets on it, porter is in a position to make the catches and hasn't. I'd say keep both and assume the O gets going. Not sure I'd trade either one unless you can get a fish hooked (and you're deep at WR) and make a trade for an under performing #1 on another squad like an Evans.

I wouldn't be so quick to give up on Curry. The only thing stopping him from being a star is his health. If he stays healthy, this will be the year he is finally recognized as one of the best WRs in the NFL.

Despite the total ineptitude of the Raider offense in '06 and the void that has been the Raider QB situation:

Prorating Curry's last 10 games over an entire year... 94.4 catches 1022 yards 5 TDs. Plus he only started six of those ten games.

There certainly appears to be plenty of room for improvement by him and his team. Cant see his ceiling being at #24 at all.

I am not to ecstatic about Curry's value at #24 after yesterday's game with a new QB.
Same here.. CPep seems to favor Porter.....or running it in himself. Probably too early to know definitively, but I know I'll be shopping Curry as part of a package this week to see if I can get a usable WR2/3 as part of the return... I don't feel like waiting 2 more weeks to watch Curry's targets hover around 4 or 5/game.

Watching the game yesterday, it looked like the Miami D literally turned to mush. There wasn't much reason to pass on them, it was easier just to run.

Curry did have a target in the endzone which he dropped. It wasn't the easiest catch ever as he was falling forward to make it, but I think he should have made it.

If he gets that grab we're not having this discussion.

I'd at least wait until Curry gets another TD catch before trading him, but honestly I wouldn't trade him right now unless you're getting a significant upgrade somehow.

There was a t-storm & lightning delay at kick-off time. Neither team threw much in that game due to the sloppy field. Anybody who expected an aerial display was not looking at the signs.

The sun came out & the field started to dry late in the game, but the Raiders had a lead & were already getting 5+ yards per run so they stuck with it.

I'm more concerned that Porter got both TDs than Curry only having 2 catches.
