Raiders RB Bush Could Go On Injured Reserve

Jerry McDonald, ANG Newspapers - [Full Article]

There are some within the Oakland Raiders organization who believe rookie RB Michael Bush will eventually be placed on injured reserve and won't play for the Raiders this season as he forther rehabs his broken leg.

:lmao:

The title should read "Replying to Raiders RB Bush Could Will Go On Injured Reserve"

we all know he isn't healthy and we know what your getting if you draft him.

Tenn and Oak have 2 of the worst RBBC going in football this yr.

So Bush and Irons down....who's next from this draft class
The real question is whether any RB from this draft class (outside of Peterson or Lynch) will emerge as a starter, or at least a viable one.

Having drafted him first round rookie dynasty, I would prefer he go on IR. Saves a roster spot and I did't think he would really produce this year anyway...

NAPA - Day after day, Raiders rookie running back Michael Bush does the same thing: He runs by himself, executes drills under the watchful eye of a trainer and yearns for the day he will join his teammates on the practice field.

"If you're out here, you see the stuff they put me through, running-wise, and you think, `Why is he not out there (with his teammates)?' But, I feel good every day," Bush said Tuesday.

Bush isn't on the practice field because he fractured his right leg in the first game of his senior season at Louisville. The injury required the insertion of a steel rod and a second operation to facilitate the healing process.

The Raiders selected Bush with the first pick of the fourth round of the NFL draft in April. Bush has been monitored closely and brought along slowly since.

He was placed on the physically-unable-to-perform list at the beginning of training camp, which prohibits him from participating in practices. The next step is for the Raiders to activate Bush, extend his stay on the PUP list or place him on the injured-reserve list.

Bush wouldn't be eligible to play until after Oakland's sixth regular-season game if he remains on the PUP list beyond the final roster cutdown. He would be ineligible to play this season if he were placed on the injured-reserve list.

Injured reserve isn't an option, Bush said.

"No doubt in my mind, I'm not even close to thinking about I.R.," he said. "They'd like for me to

play this year, but if I can't, they know they've got other guys."

Coach Lane Kiffin said he isn't ready to make a determination on Bush's status for this season.

"We look at him every day, one-on-one every day," Kiffin said. "I just don't know when it's going to be."

I'd rather they IR him.

With Lamont, Rhodes, and Fargas, they don't need him. Not to mention the kid from Cal has looked good.

Next year, after Lamont gets the boot, let him come to camp and fight for the job.

yeah, I read this yesterday, but then I'm thinking what BUSH is saying and what MANAGEMENT is saying could be 2 totally different things

Does anyone have a read on this guy? Is he going to play? Is he headed for the PUP list or Injured Reserve? I know what footballguys.com says but I'm curious if anyone out there has any insight. Seems to me a broken leg shouldn't keep you out this long but apparently it was a pretty bad one.

He wont be a factor this season but in a fantasy draft i would select him as the #4 RB ( Peterson , Lynch , Jackson ) next season he will be the Raiders starter .Same as Irons he will start for Cincy next season .

I think Irons will be a question mark to do anything next year, let alone start. He has no chance to start next year. I agree with the take on Bush. I really like him long term. But this year, I don't expect anything.
