Nope, you're forgetting the Raiders will lose nothing if they cut McCown. It will cost them around $650,000 if they cut Walter

I agree as well. The implications are saddening to me. So Jamarcus is the next coming of Elway? Pay him then. WTF Al? Just sue him later if he doesn't perform. CM and DC are both on for one year. So you keep Jamarcus from learning the offense as it is being implimented to save a few bucks? Shoot, it took Walsh and Montana a couple years to get on the same page. Every snap lost, potential lesson learning experience lost (by JR and Kiffin together) is huge IMO. If the reasoning is that you want the guy to start next year and learn the ropes of the NFL, how is he going to progress this year if he gets a week or two of training camp (at 10% of the snaps with the 2nd/3rd team) and then holds a clipboard all or most of the year? He won't progress and the team won't either (long term). Then next year we go through the growing pains as a team and franchise that we should have this year? I do like CP and I would have liked this move 3 months ago and then they traded the number one and took AP or shoot even Lynch later in the draft for a cheaper contract. To do it now, just creates a distraction and sends a message of WTF to the team. I am and pissed off that this just signifies more disorginization in a franchise that seemed to be making alot of good moves this off season.Please, MassRaider, BustedKnuckles. i can't help you brother. i agree with everything you just said. when i heard this signing i was not much has changed. i have taken a wait & see approach. & wtf happens if culpep has a good year are we going to have 4 qb's on the roster this year? too many questions. this team doesn't need uncertainty, it needs decicive leadership.
