Upset? NO. Raiders should handle this easily. Only Q: Minshew. Can he perform like an average qb manager, if so done deal. Chargers are in the middle of a full roster turnover and full rebuild. Herbert is lipstick on a pulled pork sandwich at best. Big surprise if Vegas doesn't show up for this all you can eat Buffet. Should be best offer on the strip.

I think this could be a sneaky higher scoring game. Neither secondary is all that strong, and while both teams would prefer to run, its not the course of action to tak this week.

I think Justin Herbert throws more than expected, and Josh Palmer is the #1 for the moment. I think Adams has a nice game, drawing way more of Kristian Fulton than Chargers fans will like.

It's worse than that... posted this about a week ago:

It is also worth noting that it is a big change in targets for him this year. Players on the Chargers in 2023 but not in 2024 (including WR Allen, WR Williams, RB Ekeler, TE Everett, and TE Parham) were on the receiving end of a lot of Herbert's career production. Per PFR:

• Those players were on the receiving end of 1584 of Herbert's 2355 career targets (67%); in 2023, they accounted for 332 of 443 (75%).
• Those players were on the receiving end of 83 of Herbert's 114 career passing TDs (73%); in 2023, they accounted for 16 of 20 (80%).

He is a great QB, so he will adjust to new targets, but there could definitely be an adjustment period during which his efficiency numbers are affected.

And, in season 5, he is on his 3rd HC and 4th OC. I think he'll be fine, but it might take some time...

Very disappointing game

-I post when I see 28 players in a row all projected for 1,000+ yds and I say they can't all be good.
But then reality unfolds starting in Week 1 and we start to rank the teams from 1 to 32
Where would you rank the Raiders after this performance in Week 1?
That offense is just humming along, Davante Adams can say he's happy in Vegas but the Raiders would be wise to start accumulating draft picks.

Is this the kind of stat line we are going to see Justin Herbert produce moving forward?
21 carries evenly distributed to Dobbins and Edwards. I saw somebody posted Dobbins is a Top 10 RB this year
They will flip flop weeks with FF relevance and I'm still not convinced about the Chargers as a good team but they do look tough along the OL
Harbaugh is building a power run mentality
Not a single skill player at WR/RB/TE, none of them broke the 40-yd barrier and I don't think we are going to see the Bolts throw for 200-250+ yds a week all that often
