I think their point is that it’s still bad for you but isn’t reflected by how they allow advertising. It’s like saying a regular Twinkie is better for you than a deep fried Twinkie - sure, you’re correct but people should avoid both.
I voted yes but honestly now I’m not sure - if we allow smoking at all then I think once you become an adult you make that decision for yourself - and I do see a difference with drinking because of drunk driving impacts. One day in the future when driverless cars are the norm then I’d probably be ok with lowering the drinking age to 18.
That’s one thing. I assume you don’t also mean to raise the voting age on those in the military as well. I just don’t understand the argument of “hey it’s a free country, let them smoke- they are old enough to make a decision that could cause long term damage to their health and the health of those around them. But they aren’t old enough to cast a vote.”
